This is great! As I pimp writing/fandom stuff in my journal, I'll be sure to add this.

The one thing I would suggest is that you might want to add is a mention about using bold and italics for formatting --

*A caution that depending on the colorscheme/font of the community, bold and italics may not be effective tools and that _italic_ and *bold* might be better choices
