intresting, i gree with your theory. i mean ye mobile phones would not heve worked, i mean unless he realy juiced it up, which would cause some bad style health problems, plus it would need a power pack the size of a back pack lol. its kinda strang though, i mean on the 3rd disc hwen u first get on the ragnarok you have radio contact with esther then, could be because edels tomb has fallen, but still, i'm not convinced it would have started to work that quickly, what do you think?

I just have a favor to ask of you. I know typing in slang can be cool at times, but can you refrain from using it so much. I can understand small things like "thanx," and what not, but not for the entire message, you know? Though I understood what you said, I had to strain myself to read your entire comment. So please you spell check before making a comment, or and entry.

I mean no disrespect. Thank you.

Hmm, this is a tough one here, but I'll try my best to answer it. :)

To be honest, I had no idea Adel's tomb was so important. I knew it was to keep Adel in some kind of sleep, and it was closely related to the Lunar Cry. But I was clueless about it being closely related to technology. Either that or I forgot the role of the Tomb. But if that is the case, then I have a question for you. Now that Adel is dead, and the tomb is gone, how has that affected the people? I'll have to read up on the tomb a bit more, and then I can leave a much better reply.

Sorry. :(

Lol, this might sound stupid but some people actually debate about Adel's gender. I know FF8 doesn't have the best of graphics, but we are still able to tell between whose male and female. I'll admit that Adel is a bit muscular for a sorceress, but that's my only thought about it, lol. :P

*Sniggle* She does look very butch doesn't she?

The way I think about it she may have done that to herself, under some twisted idea of "strength".

I personally don't pay any attention to the arguements that the japanese language does not have the gender-specific words were do (such as Sorceress compared with Sorceror) but the thing is, we are working with the english language version of the game, we have to make our assumptions on that.

The tomb had in it ways to block every possible way for Adel to communicate with anyone planetside. Obviously it wasn't quite enough because there are messages in the "noise" seen on the Timber outdoor TV but it was effective none the less.

As for the importance of Adel's tomb... it is the reason why the Dollet mission happened. Galbadia needed a strong enough transmitter to cut through the interference and Dollet were the only ones who had one {admitedly, it was a bit run-down, but they were expecting to have to repair it}.

I figure that if a whole subsection of technology needs excessive effort to run most organisations (like governments and businesses) wouldn't bother using it therefore that technology would get neglected and would not advance.
