Now this next topic just came to me this morning, and I can not wait to hear the responses. Now you guys know I love Final Fantasy 7 Advent Children to death, I just had to say that so nobody will get the wrong idea. This morning I was questioning the actual existence of the movie. Was it really all that necessary? The ending of Final Fantasy 7 was

Oh yes, "Spirits Within" was a beautiful letdown, lol. I was disgusted by that movie. Something told me that they created FF7 AC because of the popularity FF7 received, that makes plenty of sense, now. I still don't know what was it that caused my undying love for FF7, it has that effect on you. If popularity was one of the major reasons, then they did make a good choice, indeed. Lol, money was probably the number one reason, for sure. I know the creators are rolling in doe right now, but I fear they will receive heavy criticism due to the English voices, but I think most of them are pretty well, epically Rufus. I just hate Kadaj's voice, lol.
A Final Fantasy 8 movie would have been so awesome. I would have loved to see Seifer again. It was really disliked among many? Wow, I had no idea. I love it, like you said.
In that case, it makes great sense why Tetsuya Nomura would have chosen FF7 to make a move from. I bet he loved Cloud. :P
Thanks for your thoughts, they were awesome to think about.

Why?
You've beat Sephiroth, you're watching the movie clip, Tifa grabs Cloud, they all get in the airship... The Highwind survived Meteor, Holy, and the upwelling Lifestream.
Flash.
500 Years later, Nanaki's running to Midgar with his cubs to go look at the ruined, over-grown city.
We needed FF7AC because that was the most irritating ending I've ever seen to a game. FF8 at least had the party, Laguna at a tombstone, and Seifer peacefully fishing. FF9 at least had a couple flashes of what was happening with the main characters, and all. FF10 at least had Yuna addressing the people of Spira.
FF7?
500 years later. No closure with the vast majority of the characters.
That besides that I've often heard FF7 called the most popular (and most hated) of the FFs, so FF7AC opens the door to all these little sidegames and merchandise. ;)

I figured AC was to help reveal some of the mysteries of the events that occurred after FF7. It was a good thing they did. I wonder if Rufus built a new Midgar else where. I mean 500 years later, everything is covered in trees, but that does not mean he was not successful in building a new Shinra Inc. Ne probab;y built Neo-Midgar elsewhere. :)
