Fai had left his own apartment once he and Kurogane had agreed to meet. There wasn't much for him to there in the first place and Kurogane had said that he had wanted him there then. It couldn't hurt to take that literally. Of course, he never thought that "now" actually meant "sometime that day".
He had taken sometime to clean himself up before living though. It wasn't much though. All he really did was brush out his hair and pull it back again. He still didn't have many clothes so he wasn't as worried about his appearance as he normally would be.
Once he arrived at Kurogane's flat, Fai felt inexpictly nervous. He didn't know why. It wasn't like he and Kurogane hadn't spent time alone before. Something about this whole thing seemed more intimate. Maybe it was because of their bond as predator and prey.
After taking a deep breath he raised his hand to knock on the door, not wanting to interrupt Kurogane if he was still in the middle of his work. No sense in getting him all worked up at the moment.
"I don't think that you were as... pig-headed, but you two are very similar." Fai said, taking a deep breathe and subconsciously leaning closer to Kurogane. He could feel his hunger spike, but he wanted to talk to Kurogane a little longer first.
Kurogane watched him lean closer and wondered if it was caused by his hunger. "I guess," he muttered in response. He cocked an eyebrow at him and looked at him searchingly. "You're welcome to stay here as long as you want you know."
Fai looked up at him in surprised. "What do you mean?" He asked, looking confused. He wasn't sure if he was ready to take such a big step. He was just starting to forgive Kurogane and spending the night with him could ruin everything. Besides, it would be wasteful not to use the bed that he had purchased him.
"You look like you're ready to jump up and leave," Kurogane replied, sighing. "I know you don't want to spend the night, I can see it all over the face, and truthfully I don't want you to spend the night. But you don't have to feed and then leave right away as if what you've done is repulsive." He crossed his arms as he said this, glancing at him.
"Thank you." Fai said, looking away from Kurogane. "But what I do is repulsive. I feel like a leech living off of you like this." He looked back up at him. "I feel like I've committed a horrible sin after each feeding."
Kurogane looked annoyed. "You're only a leech because you think you are; you've only committed a horrible sin because you think you have. However, if you ask the one's who you're leeching off of or committing the horrible sin against, you would be surprised by their response."
"You don't understand." Fai said, standing up to pace. "You don't know what its like to see you and the children enjoying the food I've made or you've ordered knowing that I can't have anything. We can't drink together like we used to either unless you want me to drink you dry. I can't even live my own life anymore even if I wanted too..."
"That doesn't make you a leech." Kurogane pointed out, since that had been his original argument. He didn't know how to comfort Fai other than that, because he knew it would pain Fai to not be able to enjoy food or drink. I'm sorry was all he really could offer, but Fai probably didn't want to hear that. Instead he watched Fai pace sullenly.
Sakura either had impecible timing, or just happened to turn up then when things were getting sentimental. She had no idea why she'd wandered this way that day - for the past few days, she had worried about both Fai and Kurogane, after not hearing them for a relatively - well, for her - long while. Having recalled that Kurogane had mentioned his own appartment, she'd taken the liberty onto herself to find him and pay him a visit.
And part of her suspected Fai of being there. It... made sense.
She reached the door, and slowly, knocked. He'd probably be so surprised to see her he'd be speechless.

Kurogane growled at him. "Never." He replied. Again, a selfish thing to say, but Kurogane just couldn't let that happen. He wasn't going to let someone he was close just give up like that. Not again.
He glanced up, a bit annoyed that someone had interrupted the conversation. He got up, signaling Fai to wait, and moved to open it. Of course, he stood still and almost looked speechless when he saw who it was.
He regained his senses after a moment and stepped back to let her in. "Hey."
"You don't understand..." Fai said, looking surprised when Kurogane got up. He watched him, even more surprised to see that Sakura had come. "Sakura-chan?" He said, glancing back up at Kurogane. There was no way that he could eat now. Not with Sakura there.
"Kurogane-san." She smiled momentarily up at Kurogane - though it was weaker than she intended it to be, and despite half wondering if Fai was there, she was surprised to see him sitting there, either way. "Hello, Fai-san," she said, again offering a small smile.
She looked between the two, her face thoughtful. "Did I... I-I come at a bad time?"
