Although part of that brooding is frankly the only thing -besides his refusal to harm his son- that keeps him from wanting to punch the kid. He'll never harm the kid like that, though, so he's just going to shove the anger inwards because frankly, he feels more in control that way. It's still a bad idea, though.]

I don't give a rat's ass if you hate one Sunday out of the year. Grow up and show some respect, because you're lucky to even have a father in the first place. If he had the stones to suck it up and deal with you pulling stunts like this, then just maybe he wants to patch things up. Cut him some slack.

A lot of kids would kill to be in your shoes, you know that? You don't have to go out and play catch and work on cars or whatever dads are supposed to do with their kids but at least quit spitting in his face.

This is a fighting school you know. Did you ever think about knocking the sandbag around a bit? There's no rule that says that Pokemon Trainers can't learn how to fight, too.

[It really doesn't occur to him to train himself since he is in enough shape physically and mentally to bully other trainers. Added to this the mentality of "my pokemon will always be there so if anyone hurts me I'll just have them hurt them 10 times back."
