Game 019 [Voice] - There's a Pun in Here...

Mar 24, 2010 23:13

With so many people suddenly dying, I was wondering: what's it like to die here, where death isn't permanent? If you've died back in your home world, what's the afterlife like where you're from?

And even if you haven't, does death seem less important, does it carry less weight here than it did back home?

...Death is a serious matter. It doesn't matter where you go, in my opinion. Even if it isn't always permanent here that doesn't lessen it I think.

Even though it isn't the end of everything for a person?

Depends on who you ask. Zombies or vampires probably don't mind dying, since they're already dead, but humans on the other hand is completely different.

Why is it different?

I've died here, and it hurt!

Do you remember anything between when you died and when you came back to life?

Nope, I didn't even know that it happened until someone told me.

You... didn't realize you'd died?

Being someone who has seen death before, it is a very serious issue. It also does bear great weight, at least upon myself.

Even though you can come back?

In my world, death is death. Thus you bear the weight of knowing those you love will never come back and it is natural to mourn for them.

If it is true that those in this world can come back, you still bear the thoughts of the time you lost them and want to cherish the times when they are alive.

Then it's not death, but the separation that comes with it?

Suddenly dying? More like murdered rather horrifically. Someone's going to get in trouble~

Well, it was the dying that had me curious. The fact that it's murder is a bit of an afterthought that's irrelevant to the questions.

I suppose so.

Then to answer your questions: would you like the official statement or a more...philosophical one? People do tend to get testy if you tell them the facts and leave little room for debate after all.

That there even is an "official statement" seems quite interesting. Let's hear that one.

Can't say I've experienced death [not his own, anyway] but I can tell you this. In my world, whatever is believed the most strongly is what is reality. If you believe in a Heaven/Hell scenario, it exists. If you believe there is no afterlife, that exists - or rather, doesn't.

Interesting. What if what two people believe causes a direct conflict?

Both beliefs are still valid. If one believes in an afterlife and one in a different sort of afterlife, they will both exist.

Does that extend to the world of the living, as well?
