Woo! I just went to see Coraline. It was really good, just a good as the book. It stayed true to the spirit of the book but does it's own thing and it's spectacular. Like a kickass modern-day fairy tale.

I found a graphic novel of Coraline at Books a Million, and the art is super pretty so I wanted to get it, but I left it there and they moved it. I ( Read more... )

BoP really did fail on every level, didn't it? I remember in an interview Ivory Madison described her desire to change Helena to a self-inspired vigilante because she "[doesn't] like those 'Adam's Rib' origin stories". I guess you shouldn't expect to much from a guy who writes SuperBats vs WolfPires.

I'm not really sure. Every morning we have anchors doing the anouncements during first period, and we do various features on clubs and sports and teachers and whatnot and everyone watches it in homeroom. I think it's kinda cool.

That's really awesome! Me and a couple of other people do the school paper (with a print run of 30. And our school has 1000+ people), but damn, that's awesome! You should mention how Batman's dead.

Bah, that teacher sounds silly. So what if a student THOUGHT you LOOKED rude?

Did I mention that:

- I think that you're a hell of a lot braver then me for asking John out

and

- I agree with you about the whole "Freshman year SHOULD suck", because it makes the rest seem a lot more bearable.

I was mostly joking. Freshman year did stress me out to the point where I was sobbing every night and scratching myself with thumb tacks (Ummm, sorry if that's TMI, I tend to be brutally honest and talk about my mental problems casually, some people don't like it) but in the end it forced me to get my shit together and screw the haters and all that. Obviously, that wouldn't work for everyone and some of them wouldn't be able to do it and just keep falling, I think the school system needs to be reformed majorly and all that- but FX isn't the answer. It seems to be it just delays the inevitable stress and amplifies the freakout when it happens. And also makes them wusses!*cough ( ... )
