It's been a while
Hello journal, it's been a long time. I've been crazy busy with work and the cake decorating class and it seems I have something to do after work every day. I've even let my account slip to free status. I've been thinking whether I should pay because I haven't been on here lately ( Read more... ) -
First Day
My first day was pretty boring. The company uses a different tax software so I spent the entire day listening to a tutorial on how to use the program. The partner that trained me warned me about how boring it was and told me to keep taking breaks or would literally fall asleep. He wasn't kidding. I have so much work to do before I leave. All my jobs are about 85% done and that last 15% is killing me. I'm trying to get my office ready for Carole and making notes of everything I do here. I brought in breakfast for everyone today and I hope to buy lunch before I leave, maybe order some pizzas.

I spent 4 hours baking cookies last night. I made two different recipes and I'm glad I did because one of them came out so much better than the other. I put the cookies in a box and put a cute little ribbon around it. This morning I brought the box of cookies to my crush Vinnie with my phone number. He was all smiles and so was I. I just remembered something about my cousin and his wife that is hilarious. See, I went to school with his wife. She's maybe 2 years younger than me but when you come from a small school, you know everyone. My cousin lived about 1/2 hour from me and went to a completely different school and we barely saw each other. One day my mom was at Target ( Read more... ) -

I'm sitting at my desk barefoot. It starting pouring not a mile from my job and I got soaked. The rain couldn't wait just 4 minutes. Of course now it's sunny and beautiful. I just got up to get a cup of coffee barefoot. I'm waiting for a staple to puncture the bottom of my foot...because you know, that's the kind of stuff that happens to me.

It's strange leaving a job and realizing you are the core of that job. Ted and Darlene are freaking out over the responsibilities they will have to take on after l leave. I have a list of notes that is running about 2 pages typed and I've only begun. I'm trying to finish up my work but my clients are not cooperating. I had a meeting today at 10 ( Read more... ) -

I told Ted I was leaving the firm and it wasn't so bad. I was so nervous I thought I was going to puke but he took the news rather well. Of course he asked if there was anything he could do to make me stay and I said no. I thanked him for all he's taught me and done for me over the years.
