Vincent listened to Cid's words with one ear, shrugging at the man's question about store occupation, but his focus was on a small man in a visually flaying wardrobe with his angular head propped on what looked like embroidery of some kind. He stared. He couldn't help it; between the colors and the... was that makeup?... the little fellow made for an, interesting, picture.

"I didn't... I mean, I didn't think-" No apparently Vincent wasn't thinking, as he looked up at Cid from where he stood, going through a rack of simple dark T-shirts.

He was confused by Cid's behavior. He could still feel the heavy warmth from Cid's big hands on his hips, which had made him blush and glance away briefly in sudden self-consciousness. It had made him focus keenly upon the dog-tags that rested against his skin under the sweater. Then Cid had refused to make eye contact, which had made him wonder if he had said something unintentionally offensive, as he was prone to do. He wasn't trying to maintain any kind of an image by being stoic and silent all of the time. It was true that part of that was natural and had been trained even more into him, but the other part of it was his intense desire to avoid putting his foot in his mouth, which was one of his less than desirable abilities.

He cocked his head and regarded Cid curiously. "Are you all right, Cid?"
