Should I do something extremely unconventional and write a review for the Lost finale and Pirates of the Caribbean: AWE (a definite improvement on the acronym TCOTBP) in the same entry? Ummm, no. Except I shall say FLASHFORWARDS (am I the only person out there who didn’t figure it out until the last scene?) and Penny & Desmond all the way!!! That

Yeah, umm, this movie KICKED ASS. Without a doubt. It was so beautifully done and so entertaining, I loved it.
. Also, when they showed that Tia Dalma was wearing the same heart locket as Davy Jones, did you go straight away OMFG IT’S HER!!!!
You know what's really cool? It's hard to spot, but during the scene in DMC where they meet Tia Dalma for the first time, you can spot the necklace lying on the table. That's how I figured it out, I was like, DUDE!
The wedding! I loved it! Especially the "great!" part. He sounded like a twelve year old, it was adorable. :D
Nobody ever considered Barbossa did they? Hahaha.
LOL! That must have sent the shippers in a tizzy. I loved his caharacter during the wedding scene, "just kiss her!"
Oh God, the BANDAnNA. And the SCAR. For some reason I found it incredibly hot.
Somebody please clear this all up for me, some are saying that they can spend one day together every ten years and others say that if ( ... )

Girly chat, YAY! I'm glad somebody else loved it too, all my friends were thinking "yeah, as good as the other two", which it was, but the other two were AMAZING, not "average". THINK PEOPLE!
Whoaaaa, you're so clever. I only picked up the necklace thing in At World's End, when it was really obvious with all those close ups. :P HAHAHA, the "GREAT!" part was fantastic, it made me laugh so hard, yeah he did sound like a little 12 year old.
I think they made it very clear that Will will be the captain of the Flying Dutchman for eternity, or until someone kills him and takes his place. YEAH, that's how I want it to be! None of this, after ten years if Elizabeth's been fateful the curse is broken, that's BORING. It's sort of like, what's the point for even Will doing it for 10 years, as they'll just be together in the end. ETERNITY works ( ... )

I know! That's why I'm trying to figure out where this whole "after 10 years the curse will be lifted" idea came from. Sure, it's sweet and I wouldn't mind it, but it goes against the whole Davey Jones legend. The Dutchman has to have a captain, so if it's not Will, who would it be? Plus, there can only be a new captain if the old one is killed. So, no, it just doesn't work.
It all reminds me of Padme and Anakin in some way with their sad sad sad ending. :(
Oh! I didn't think of that, but you're right. So sad! :(

""Will is cursed to do the job of ferrying souls for 10 years. When He returns to land on his one day every ten years, if he finds his tru love, the curse is broken and he can leave the Dutchman and lead a normal human life on land. Since Elizabeth will be waiting on him when he returns, the curse will be broken. Jones remained cursed because when he came back ten years later, his love wasn't waiting for him and he couldn't be free from the curse. He became so hurt and angry that he cut out his heart and abandoned the soul ferrying job (which is the reason he came to look like a monster)."
Apparently all the scenes that clarify this were cut from the movie for time reasons. Bad choice, imho.
