"Vs. The Marlin" AU where Chuck was successfully extracted, picking up a few years down the line when Sarah and/or Casey finally gets him freed and back to Ellie.

Season 2 AU where Chuck and Sarah manage to go on the run and then just keep running. (If you have any interest in something longer with this prompt I've got some ideas that I don't think I'll ever actually write myself...)

Split-Second (Gen, Rated G) nevcolleil October 29 2011, 13:48:22 UTC
1.

They know about what to expect if not exactly. He wrote them letters. Threaded through with subtle and then not-so-subtle 'Come get me!'s. Desperate in the beginning, and then resigned, but always almost approaching cheerful. Until he figured out that they hadn't been taken also. Then the letters became hurt, angry. More and more bitter.

They couldn't do anything about it. They couldn't write back, any more than Chuck could have mailed what he'd written. They only even found out about the letters because they'd both kept to their plan to play it cool until they saw an opening. They developed contacts on the inside. They bided their time ( ... )

A lot of sad and angst and all those things that are only right below the surface in Chuck when you look for them, which I guess I prefer to pretend not to do, because ... then I'd start thinking about things like this?

I loved the subduedness of this, how you feel something's gone wrong that can't be fixed just like that, but how it's never entirely voiced or told, just shown and felt.

all those things that are only right below the surface in Chuck

Right? I find them fascinating to examine, but yeah. I think most of us Chuck fans avoid looking at them closely for the most part because there is such a sweet puppyishness about Chuck :p that nobody likes to see kicked.

I'm glad you enjoyed this :) Such a nice little set of reviews from you today, all at once, really made me happy :D

is it fine if its not related to the new season premiere at all?^^

because then I would go with:
Stanford-era: Bryce couldn't convince the CIA recruiters to lay off Chuck, even though he tried his hardest.

All Chuck and Bryce prompts are good prompts :D I hope you're open to slash. If not, let me know and I'll write something more gen :p

If life were fair, Bryce probably wouldn't have met one of the few truly nice guys he is likely to meet in this lifetime just before being given an opportunity to do things for his country that nice guys don't do. If it were fair, he might have figured out before accepting that opportunity that Chuck is one of those sacrifices his trainers are always telling him that spies have to make, and that - honestly speaking - he isn't entirely sure he can make it.

Regardless, Professor Fleming eyes him over Chuck's file, lying spread out over the desk between them, with no sign of having been the least bit moved by Bryce's insistence that Chuck not be drawn into the spy life. Either Bryce hasn't mastered his lessons in verbal intimidation tactics, Fleming's "mild-mannered professor" routine is much more deceptive than Bryce realized, or Fate has decided to royally screw Bryce three times over.

Life isn't fair, so Bryce figures this is mostly the latter ( ... )

Oh, Chuck!

And maybe that should have been 'oh, Bryce!', all things considered, but in this timeline, it kind of feels like everything will hinge on Chuck's decisions, Chuck's actions, Chuck's awareness of what he means - both to himself, to the CIA and to Bryce.

if at all possible could you write a girl!Chuck ending with Chuck/Bryce set after Stanford.
I'm asking because the only girl!Chuck I've found is Chuck/Casey or gender reverse of Chuck/Sarah with mentions of Chuck/Bryce in the past.

I had way too much fun with this :p Like, I'm already planning more. I don't know how you did it, but you totally kicked my Muse into craving-girl!Chuck/Bryce mode!

Shame on you! ;D

Mama Bear, Papa Bear (Chuck/Sarah, PG) nevcolleil October 31 2011, 13:55:18 UTC
It surprises her how much just knowing makes a difference. She can't feel a change yet, and she isn't showing, but now that she knows there's a tiny, little Chuck growing inside of her, she is hyper-aware of every move her body makes. Every twinge in her side sends a split-second rush of adrenaline through her system. Every time they take return fire, her natural inclination to jump further into the fray is countermeasured by a more primal urge to tuck into a ball and shield her baby from harm.

It should annoy her. Once upon a time, she thought it would. This preoccupation... this new delicacy in the way she moves. Instead it brings a smile to her lips. The realization that there is a real girl in there, deep inside of her; a woman with maternal instincts besides the unsurprising need to tear apart anything that dares hurt her precious 'cub'.

Will it be a boy, she wonders? With Chuck's chocolate eyes and dark, ringlet curls? Or a girl with long, blonde hair and blue eyes? Will it take more after her or it's- his or her father? ( ... )

:) what a cool idea!!!

for a case, casey (or bryce) pretends to be dating ellie or devon - jealousy and awkwardness ensue

if that is too weird, then sarah/bryce/chuck, working out sleeping arrangements for three spies, bryce's gun, sarah's knives, etc

A Gun and A Knife in a Pillow Fight (Sarah/Bryce/Chuck, PG) nevcolleil October 31 2011, 20:10:18 UTC
Around here, there’s no such thing as too weird :p But I want to work with that first idea a little more, so here is this in the meantime. It’s short :p But I couldn’t resist doing something Chuck/Bryce/Sarah.

Maintaining a three-way relationship is a lot of work, in a lot of ways. There are so many opportunities for misunderstandings to occur. There is one more delicate ego to consider in every debate. There’s the issue of who gets to do what to whom and when. (Ironically, Bryce had expected the issue to rest between himself and Chuck. For Chuck to be sensitive to how much of Sarah’s attention he received while they were all in bed. Instead, right away, Bryce found himself competing with Sarah for who could make Chuck moan the loudest. Come the hardest. Poor Chuck is always stuck between the two of them, not that he ever complains.)

But, by far, the most difficult aspect of Bryce and Chuck and Sarah’s arrangement is figuring out how to sleep sleep together without somebody getting hurt ( ... )

I LOVE THIS!!! the real issues, the humor, all of it

favorite parts:

Bryce had expected the issue to rest between himself and Chuck. For Chuck to be sensitive to how much of Sarah’s attention he received while they were all in bed. Instead, right away, Bryce found himself competing with Sarah for who could make Chuck moan the loudest. Come the hardest. Poor Chuck is always stuck between the two of them,

Beckman never sends a S.W.A.T. team to their building, without confirmation that help is needed, again. Certainly not before checking that all of them are fully dressed.

ty!!!! this is great
