Just as John Cusack movies can give one unrealistic expectations for romance, so does listening to a lot of R&B give you unreasonable expectations about sex.

Just sayin.

(Of course, does someone who thinks, "Ooooh, the first episode of "The Dead Zone!"" and settles in on the futon really need to have many expectations about sex?)

Unrealistic?! Does that mean I should stop standing outside my dates' apartments in my trenchcoat, hefting a boombox blasting Barry White tunes...?

if you ever need to further deflate the bubble that is the mystique of sex-crooning R&B, i urge you to spend a few minutes wikiing some real names... to wit:

Barry White: Barrence Eugene Carter
Teddy Pendergrass: Theodore DeReese Pendergrass, Sr
and my favorite... Billy Ocean: Leslie Sebastian Charles

even Marvin Gaye's middle name was PENTZ ???

btw, Amy and I will be in Austin for a full week, in late June. Staying a couple days at the Austin Motel (or is it hotel, its on SoCo) then a couple nights with my friends what got married last time i was there, then housesitting for said friends for a couple nights while they're away on vacation of their own. So, don't think we'll need a place to crash or anything, but definitely would like to hang out an evening or more. cheers!
