Screencap Adventure: Summon Night 2 (Part 3)

Jan 05, 2008 09:12

It has been raining for a week here, and it doesn't look like it's gonna stop anytime soon. What is going on with this? Another 33 days and we'll have reached biblical proportions!

But, we have a meeting to get to. Let's go!

Previous Episodes

Got anything to say, Loki?

Awww. :3

Gah! Whoa. Th-that's a lot of people.

I am sensing two distinct sides to these villagers.

Just what I was thinking, Loki. "Hay, this sword is the only weapon that can defeat a malevolent evil sealed just a little way away from our village! Let's chuck it somewhere and forget where it is!" :B

Uh, maybe this wasn't such a good idea...

Apparently, we have Phoenix Wright in the audience.

GET BACK TO YOUR OFFICE, PHOENIX. Maya is probably worried about you.

Loki does a '...' emote thingie here, but I missed it. Damn those things go fast.

Convincing argument, there.

:D

:3

If he says 'get along?' in the next cap, I am giving up right now.

Fiiiiiine.

Well, they were pretty easily swayed.

I suppose that's as good a reason as we're going to get for being attacked by woodland animals.

To sword-forging!

Once you've used a material for a weapon, it will have a tick on it to signify you've already made that weapon with that material.

The weapon entry won't be all ???????????? either.

This is where that thing Blaire said a few updates ago comes in. "Being honest with your Summon Beast is more important than being nice."

Sorry, Loki...but I have to be honest.

"It's terrible, terrible!"

Oooooooh. Harsh.

And a comeback from Loki!

I would not be at all surprised if there was already some horrific reverse-furry fandom devoted to 'Summon Humans'. I'd be horrified, but not surprised.

I like how they both apparently stutter in exactly the same way. :3

hahahaha

IT FORGES A MAAAAAAAAAAN!

*snrk*

Hey, it's Lynn!

Wa-HEY!

Garrulon: Abababababababa...

If you choose the Devil Girl, she gets a little jealous in this scenario. Aheh. :B

Hahaha.

The village is rooting for us! Let's do this!

THWUNK

yayyyy

Well, here's some of those boxes that the guard was talking about. Since this is an RPG, we know what must be done.

DESTROY'D. Nothing in any of them, though. :(

Oh hey, treasure chest!

ASFDJ RIGHT NEXT TO THE TREASURE CHEST. This guy is a Slime; pretty much the easiest enemy in the game, I think.

As evidenced by the pitiful EXP he gives out.

Alriiiiiight.

We do?

Huh. We do. When did we get that extra Iron Ore?

Awwww. :3

As pictured.

Yay!

Ah, worms. These are used for bait in that fishing minigame I showed you earlier. Yes, you have to find your own bait for it.

Guess what we do with this grass?

Cut it! That's right!

That's actually 15 damage. I must have caught it at an odd moment there. Go, self.

Flat Stones are essentially stopgaps for repairing your weapon. You can use them to restore some of your weapon's durability. I rarely use them myself.

Another chest!

Oh, sweet! HI, MY NAME IS [AARON]. AXE ME ABOUT SHAPESTONES.

Ooh, what's that shiny thing over in the corner?

Woo! 1 down, 34 to go!

You can get the fruit off trees like this, but it requires a longer reach than we currently possess. We'll get that later.

And these stumps blocking our progress can only be taken out with an Axe. Back to the workshop we go!

May as well use the Healing Spell, since we'll heal up while we're back at the workshop. Get some practice in.

Oh, I forget to mention. Those six jewels at the right are your...Spell Tokens, I guess? You have 6 jewels, and thus 6 spells to use per battle. So you can't just cast Super-Kill-Mega-Flare until the enemy dies, unfortunately. This ain't that kind of game.

HEALING POWERRRRRRRRR

Right. Let's make that Axe!

And while we're here, repair all weapons to full durability and restore HP.

This is another one of those minigames. This kid loses something every chapter, and you have to go find it for him. It's always wherever he was standing last chapter. It's an awful hassle for little reward, though, so we won't bother.

GO AHEAD. AXE ME ANYTHING.

LE ME AXE YOU A QUESTION; DO YOU FEEL LUCKY? WELL, DO YA? PUNK?

Right, enough of that nonsense. Next update, we'll cut stumps and find that Wind Fortress!

Now, apparently a new LAN centre has opened up in the neighbourhood, and they're offering a free 2 hours and membership, so I'm gonna go check that out. AWAAAAAYYY
