The princess reminded her of her Shadow. Which was unfair, of course; she had nothing to do with the TV World, was all sweetness and light - a little like Rise-san there - and was, in fact fictional. The girl shot a look sideways at Chie, Yosuke and Souji taking up the rest of the couch, controllers in all their hands.

"Are you sure, Chie? I mean..."

"Arrrgh, just pick already!" Yosuke groaned, flopping back in the seat. "You've been thinking about it for like ten minutes!"

Chie got a pained groan out of him as she slung an elbow into his side. Yukiko couldn't see it, but Souji just smiled.

"It's alright, Yukiko. Just hit the random button if you can't decide. Ultra Crash Friends has always had a lot of characters, anyway."

"Random...okay." she said, moving the cursor to the Random selection and hitting it. She watched the cursor flip around spasmodically, frowning. Who was it going to pick?

On one hand, there was Souji.

Souji was kind, friendly, warm towards everyone. They got along well, that much was true - much to the narrowed eyes of that Ebihara girl who'd shown up recently - but something about his stance in battle, every time he crushed that card in his hand and summoned forth one of a who-knows-how-many amount of Personae...it reminded her of him, every time.

Her mind told her that he'd be a good boyfriend; sure, he'd dated a lot of girls, but she could see in his eyes that he truly cared for each and every one. They were only two years apart in age...hardly anything, really, and her mother seemed to like him well enough when she'd come down to visit Inaba.

On the other hand, there was Jin.

Who knew how he'd managed to survive that blast in the Dark Hour so long ago, but he'd appeared in her life again recently, nothing but a briefcase and a tired expression on his face as he stumbled into the small Inaba bookstore, looking for something. She hadn't believed it at first - was it him? That hair... - but once

Rise's voice was clear as she looked over the top of her textbook, blinking in confusion.

"What do you mean my shadow has the...histri-something personality disorder, senpai?"

Souji shrugged, flicking back and forth at the entry; they'd been studying for hours, and the rain was starting to make him sleepy.

"It says 'lively, dramatic, enthusiastic, and flirtatious'. That sounds like you to me." he said, wisely deciding to leave out the whole 'need for approval and constantly flirting' part. Rise gave a light shrug, sinking down onto her crossed arms, peeking up at them from over them.

"Well, you know me, senpai. I guess I've got showbiz in my souuul, or something." she said, giggling. "Why, does it annoy you
