HEY PEOPLE WHO ARE AWAKE!!!

As law enforcement and network programmers continue this endless cycle of technological escalation, do social norms have any hope in calming the file sharing arms race?

DOES THAT SENTENCE MAKE SENSE OR AM I DELIRIOUS?

The prof definitely likes the phrase "file sharing arms race" so that's the one part I'm sure of. It describes the race between the cybercrime police and the network programmers in Japan - the programmers keep making the networks "more anonymous," the Kyoto cybercrime police keep cracking the anonymity, the programmers make it more anonymous, and it goes on and on.

It makes sense to me, although the second half is a bit awkward as it stands. I'd probably word it something more like "..., is there any hope that social norms can help calm the file sharing arms race?"

Score one for the grammar nerd! I find it so much easier to fix other people's writing than my own - I made some comments on my minion's report today, too.

I explain all that in the other 61 pages of my thesis! It's academic so it doesn't have to make sense in the real world! Mwahahahahaha!
