Wii VR Display

I saw this on Penny Arcade, so if you read the news there this won't be new, but a guy at CMU has designed some software to use a Wiimote for head-tracking in order to create a basic virtual reality display on his television. Given the nature of 3D rendering, this is a relatively simple concept. It's just that we never used location sensors before.

Animators have been doing something similar with camera location inside of a 3D world for years.

With the holographic displays coming out, we're not far off from Star Trek. :)
