The difference between sobriety and recovery

When I first heard the saying there's a difference between being sober and being in recovery, it didn't make sense to me. Weren't they the same thing? If you were sober, didn't that mean that you were in recovery from your addiction(s ( Read more... )

It is sooooo good to hear how you are doing. Yes, it is one day at a time, and yes, it has to be something you do for yourself - but this post sounds so much more at peace than your last. And that is a victory you can be proud of. You've certainly worked hard enough for it.

Whether you come back more actively to LJ or not, I'm not alone in wanting all the best for you, and hopefully you can keep us up to date occasionally with how you are doing.

This is a huge deal! I'm so glad that you know you've achieved something major in your life and that you are seeing the changes in yourself, all for a positive better.
