I just went to the Virtual University website and they are offering their new Cybercrime 101: How to Prevent Identity Theft and Online Fraud course for FREE as a public service. Go click on the "calendar" link for details

:) You should check out the other offerings too. If you volunteer as a moderator for even one course, they'll let you take classes for free. (You can moderate a course you haven't taken, providing you have a good background in the subject.)
Yeah, maybe not now...I know you're busy. But it never hurts to take a peek.
I think they'd like it.netsearcherApril 9 2006, 03:17:46 UTC
I wouldn't be surprised if there was one in the works. Drop a note to Richard Dean; he's the head honcho there and he is most likely the one who created the Cybercrime course.
The last time I looked in their "volunteers wanted" section, it said that there was a backlog of courses that need to be converted to their online format. If that's not the case/no course exists or is in the works, feel free to shoot a proposal over to them. They have links for propspective teachers. Go to http://vu.org/proposal.html for additional info. They pay $200 a course.
Even if there is a backlog of stuff, I suspect a course like that might be given some priority due to it's importance.
