Another artsy momment - kinda

Lately, I reread Neil Gaiman's Sandman. I've always been fascinated by the characters he created in that series - not only for their personalities, but also for their looks and appearances. So today I decided to see if I could recreate those looks on real people. Here's the first try, the Corinthian.

Pics behind the cut. Utterly work safe. )

As a life long comics fan, I think you should be working with Bryan Singer or one of those guys. Its good concept art. (Though perhaps the hairstyle for your model wasn't quite apt - imagine the fandom angst!)

For the hairstyle, I sorta went with that of the Corinthian's second incarnation in the Kindly Ones. The old one was too... 80s for my tastes. :D

ALmost, though I think your model is a little TOO pretty. Needs to be a tad more...I don't want to use the word 'manly', that's not what I really want, but I can't think of the more proper one. Where is my tea, need caffeine.

Though I think it's great you are playing around with Sandman

A bit rougher? I see your point, but I liked the expression on the guy's face, and he had the facial structure I was looking for. And remember, the Corinthian's queer as a three-dollars bill, in his own seriously fucked-up way.

He he he, this is very true. But yeah, a bit more ruggedly handsome, if you get what I'm trying to say.

I <3 the Corinthian! I remember being in a dr's office with some friends and one of them grabbed "The Dolls House" out of my hands and started reading it aloud. It was The Corinthian's speech at the serial killer's convention.

...Yeah, we got a lot of strange looks.
