Reisen stood at the forefront of the swarm. Her expression... may or may not have held a tinge of regret...
No, this was the best way. She had to do this... it was the only way to defeat Baal, right? Kerrigan knew that... why hadn't Reisen accepted that earlier?
Once everybody was integrated into the Zerg, there was no way Baal could survive the assault of such a united force.
Today would mark the beginning of a new era.
For the Swarm.
With that simple thought, the Zerg began their assault.
"Oh. I can't exactly do that." Sanae said, a smile on her face. "See I just found out I have to do everything Miss Kerrigan says. Non-Zerg hunting is rather fun!"
A blast of Damaku was fired, but none of it found its target. Rozalin's own shots intercepted each and every bullet, ricocheting about a third of them into the Zerg forces. Before Rozalin could make another move however, a thousand Hydralisks opened fire on her, throwing spines that could pierce battleship armor. The fact that they bounced off her skin harmlessly or were dodged with only the slightest motion might have been of some faint concern to the Zerg's mistress.
"I'm afraid that you won't be able to do anything Miss Kerrigan says soon, either of you! Surrender now, and spare yourselves the pain of the beating you're about to receive."
Amaterasu's response was more physical, suddenly she was flying at Sanae's face, all teeth and claws and a roar of challenge for a defiled servant of the divine.
She barreled into Sanae at full speed, hoping to grab hold of the girl and drag her away into the fight.
With Sanae in her clutches, she dragged the girl away from the group, her blade still whirling to remove Zerg, and finally leapt high, rolling her shoulder into Sanae and releasing her so that she was sent tumbling at high speed towards the ground.
A Golden, bladed discus appeared before Amaterasu and she began peppering the surrounding area with shots, tiny bullets of ink that felt more like armor piercing rounds where they struck.
"So many evil doers, so little time, CAPTAIN GORDON, DEFENDER OF EARTH! Will never allow a villain to go unpunished!"
He dashed in on his jetpack, lifting off of the ground quickly and shooting at any Zerg he saw trying to possibly get a sneak attack in. He then rocketed upward towards the flying swarm and grabbed hold of one of them with his amazing kung fu grip. "GORDON FINISH!"
With that said, he twirled and spun, flying towards the ground at a break neck pace, and slamming the Zerg down on top of a small pile of underlings.
Thomas' eyes widen as the words reverberated inside him, for a moment he quailed - no, he didn't, shouldn't - why was this voice in this head? The moment of doubt passes as the infestion took over.
Then a smiled appeared on his lips, for the Queen - for unity he will slay the beast! He raised his right hand up, the rune glow as a ball of fire appear above Amaterasu, to drop down on her head.
Immediately as the fireball appears, he lunges forward to impale the animal on the blade of his sword if she still stands.
Why was he crying? He should be happy to serve the swarm.
Amaterasu caught the sword on the spinning blades of the Snarling Beast reflector, The shining gold of the shield bruning brightly as the fire descended to smash into Amaterasu.
The wolf glowed green for a moment, before shattering outwards, green runes flying out to fade into nothing.
Oops, Here comes that large, lightning glaive again.
Rita looks at her allies turning into mindless slaves. She wants to help the others, but knows that if she could kill Kerrigan, this would all be over. She Lobs a plasma grenade into a Zerg swarm, and makes her way closer and closer to Kerrigan.
As far as Almaz had been concerned, he hadn't done much in the battle so far. By which I mean that he hadn't done much besides try and destroy all Zerg he got a glimpse of. Unlike his previous attempts at training, he was performing quite well. He felt like he was actually achieving progress now, and had cast away all of his signature hesitation to fight to the best of his ability. The sort of lightning-fast strikes and reflexes he now displayed had not been used ever before by him. Well, except when he took it upon himself to protect Sapphire, of course. In Almaz's mind, he was doing that thing at this very moment
( ... )
Lo and behold, to Amaterasu's unexpected aid, a Konoka appears!
She's not too familiar with Thomas, but she's aware that he's a nice guy, and turning on Ammy was probably a trick of the swarm. "Please stop, Thomas-han!" Konoka pleaded, unaware of the futility of it. "Please don't fight Amaterasu!" She's currently trying to brainstorm a way to break Thomas free of the mind wipe, and it was failing miserably.
Thomas starts as the blade jerks in his hand. He threw himself back, and ran to get out of the reach of that lightning glaive, barely dodging it's blow.
He panted a little, his low stamnia was going to start catching up to him. He heard the pleas to stop. He laughed a little, it was a quiet one, unsteady - he is of the swarm, he should not be feeling regret. They would join him soon enough.
Then everyone will be at peace, no one will ever fight again.
With that, he tries to lure the wolf into the thickest of the swarm where he would be harder to spot, and more of the Zerg could lash out at this beast.
Amaterasu ROARED in fury as Thomas attempts to retreat, and a large, smoky barrier expands outwards, engulfing Thomas, Konoka, and several Hydralisks and Zerglings.
Once it reaches about 75 Meters across, it halts and stabilizes, preventing escape.
The wolf can cut off entire sections of the battlefield! His thoughts transmitted through the hivemind as he turned to fight - breath ragged, ichor-splattered weapon raised.
He won't give up, ever. "Stop, Stop this fight at on-once." The young man pleaded. "The Swarm is right, stop fighting the swarm."

She tried to call a spellcard, but just couldn't say that words.
She still smiled though.
