What a beautiful day! XD We just got back from taking our daughter to the park. And today was extra cool because all the kids were right around the same age! (Usually at some point a bunch of "big kids" descend on the play area and start running the little ones over.) And I got to meet another mom! She was really nice and not at all judgemental! yay for meeting momys. =P
Are you a "cooking" person? The things you mentioned sound delicious, but I must admit that I doubt ever having eaten any of those things... at least not conciously.
My cooking is a mess, hehe.

And those quotes made me laugh. Especially the "fanfic for Tetris." I seriously wonder if anyone could write a Tetris fic.
The square block, rotating pointlessly, squatted down between the L-shape and it's mirror-twin. The trumpets flared, a line flickered, and Square Block was dcapitated. =P

oh, yes! Definitely a cooking person! I love inventing and trying new recipes. It's something that as a younger person I never thought I would find enjoyable, and when I first started cooking I always compared what I made to my mother's and became frustrated.

But after learning recipes that my mother doesn't and improving a few of hers I sort of came into my own with it and really enjoy cooking and baking now. Though, my mother enjoys the Zen of Cooking while I enjoy more the Zen of Eating...so my mother cooks to cook and I cook to eat...lol

So, if I cook for someone they know I like them! Because I am selfish with giving my end product away!

That's a nice way of seeing it. If I cook for someone, it means I like them. They will see things differently, though.
My cooking is toxic.
At least most of the things I make. Either they are inedible, or they don't taste like much. There are, however, one or two dishes that I actually can cook, and can cook well. Even my grandmother likes those.
Likely that's because she's the one who taught me how to cook them. =P

what kind of recipes are you good at? try making variations on them, or pick a seasoning you like a lot and feel comfortable using and then try pairing it with others to see the effect. Remember a lot of meals are actually really simple to do. And once you have them down you can go hog wild and dress them up however you please.
