Sunlight and Spicy Foods
What a beautiful day! XD We just got back from taking our daughter to the park. And today was extra cool because all the kids were right around the same age! (Usually at some point a bunch of "big kids" descend on the play area and start running the little ones over.) And I got to meet another mom! She was really nice and not at all judgemental! (I am one of those people that looks a lot younger than I actually am. >.< A lot of people who see me with my daughter make the assumption I'm a high school drop-out...) So, it was cool to make a "mommy friend" or what-have-you. And I just love watching my husband and daughter play, he's really great with kids and all the usual tension he carries slips away when he's playing with one.
So, today has been a great day, already!
Yesterday was great, too! My parents took us out to dinner and my best friend came as well. (As, last weekend my parents couldn't make it due to the ucky weather.) Mmmm...my mother made me the yummiest chocolate cheesecake.......*drools* I am so spoiled having such an exceptional baker/chef for a mother. ^.^ Not that I mind! hehehe
I also had made a yummy Sesame Teriyaki Beef Noodle Stirfry...so when we went out I decided to just get a salad, since I'd had that not long ago. And wooo! It's called a Black and Bleu Chicken salad... Which translates to Blackened chicken over romaine doused with a yummy raspberry dressing with bleu cheese crumbles, almond shavings, and mandarin wedges. I...don't normally even bother with a side-salad...I'm a meat person. Hardy filling food. But this was YUMMY! I would definitely make this at home. (Minus the almonds as no one in the house really eats them, but they did taste good in there.)
