I Named My Muse: Fickle Dreamer

Mar 21, 2007 18:57

So, I've been working on my world like a madwoman, as well as, the characters. I've also been paying a lot of attention to the media I've been taking in and dissecting it brutally. (Which has been driving my husband batty. XD) Everything I've been reading or watching lately. (And far more than usual.) I've been paying attention to what I like and ( Read more... )

What did you think of Blood Diamond, The Prestige, and The Illusionist??

I enjoyed all three, though I felt the Prestige could have used just a bit of work in the character empathy department. Not a lot, just a bit. My hubbie and I were on the verge of turning the film off just out of sheer disgust with the main character's until we realized we were almost finished. (And we definitely wanted to see if they explained the tricks ( ... )

I can't say much to the booklist you mentioned, since my reading goes into a different direction. ;)
But I like the way you seem to be able to switch between your perspectives. Personally, I find that very difficult. I should definitely try that out, though, since it's important when editing one's final draft in particular.

And in the meme, I got the same text, only the percentages were different. Yay for eunuchs!

This is probably due to the fact that I haven't finished my first cup o'joe yet, but I keep rereading your post and can't understand what you mean by "switching my perspectives."

And yes! Yay for...well, I'm female so I can't really be a eunuch...but yay for Androgyny! XD

ooops. no. it's not your density, but my lack of skill at using English vocabulary, hehe. What I meant is that it seems to be easy for you to switch POVs: being the author, the character, and the reader. Sorry about that. =P

And yes. Again, I have to study my English, hehe.
Yay for androgyns/hermaphrodites!
