I totally fixed the TV. (See TV's done for.) With help. ;) One of my friends brought over a tool we needed to get the old solder out of the bad wire location on the board and helped me get it out, then we soldered the new wire on. Pretty simple, and works just like new. Maybe better. I took it all apart the other day and had it sitting here ( Read more... )

Well, I finally installed Visual Studio 2005. Thank goodness for the MSDNA alliance thingie-- I was about to kill that linux debugger. So, now I have a completely free and totally legal copy of Visual Studio 2005, which has a very nice debugger. One mushroom cloud. One! In the middle of the scene, with nothing else, just some clouds (which normally take 3 seconds to render) and that was it. Guess how long it was rendering. 4 hours! 4! Just for one little user pic! Oh well, I'll not be rendering that mushroom cloud again anytime soon.
