Well... I spent my toy budget already this month. Overspent it, probably... No new toys for me anytime soon. I got a 1GB stick of RAM for my laptop-- hopefully it'll be here in the next few days, since it's only coming from Colorado. I also bought Bryce 5.5-- finally legalized my copy of that program. So,, let me get this straight...you're putting more RAM in the laptop that's been giving you all those problems? Don't you think this laptop is past its prime? Won't it run into problems in a matter of time?

Yes, the laptop is past its prime, however most of the problems were caused by a clogged heastsink. That's pretty easy to take care of myself, so I'm not terribly worried about it. The other issue was the hard drive, and that got totally replaced, so I don't expect any more problems on that front for a while. Besides, the laptop is still under warranty until next January. If it dies on me, I just get it replaced for free and keep my stick of RAM for the new one.
