Most of the time when Karen woke up, she did it slowly and almost stubbornly, always trying to fight for another ten minutes of sleep even though she knew there was no reason for her to even get up. This morning was a different matter, however, as she was rolling away from Nick before she was barely awake, and fumbling for something on her bedside

Even before she opened her eyes, Eden rolled over toward Grigg, sighing heavily. Waking up here, while not exactly a daily occurrence, was a regular one, and she reached automatically for him, hand finding his shoulder. "What is it?" she asked. "You okay?" Oh, crap generally meant no, she figured, forcing her eyes open so she could look around for herself - at a room in which, as far as she could tell, nothing had changed.

"Not really," Karen replied and inched away from Eden, frowning at Grigg's voice coming out of what would be her mouth for however long it lasted this time around. "I'm okay, but half of that's a lie, I'm not Grigg. I'm Karen."

No matter how long Eden had been on the island, that was weird and, for a moment, not something she could fully process. She just pulled the sheets closer around her as she sat up, looking askance at him. Her. Just because she knew it could happen didn't mean it wasn't bizarre. "Okay, what? Are you - oh god."

"Sorry," Karen immediately apologized, steadfastly keeping her gaze on the sheets covering Grigg's -- her legs. "The last time this happened, I woke up on my own. And then Nick was the one switched, so...I guess it was my turn?"
