Too Much (Medical) Information

So I've been dragged about to the end of my usefulness lately. I'm working 20-25 hours a week, in class 12 hours a week, and trying to keep up on homework. Thankfully the wedding is over, so I have to cram a little less in a day, but now my mom wants me to make quilts. I've never quilted a day in my life, so this should be entertaining. And she ( Read more... )

I know, but it was kinda pointless for me to reply to the rest of it since I already know all about it and you know what I think...so I thought I'd either lighten the mood a bit or make you groan...lol

...and if you stumble up on anything anthro related, drop me a line. I am a TA for an intro to cultural anth class this semester:)

On the chick front, I have my fun-fun yearly today. I can only imagine what else they will find wrong with me. Yippee.

Oh I'll definitely let you know, although so far my teacher is awesome and I seem to be actually picking stuff up this time around, thank goodness. Good luck with that doctor's visit, they're always so exciting.

Well, there's nothing quite as effective at making one think, "Well I sure missed something here, didn't I," as is having the word that you see on first skim of an entry be "ultrasound."

yeah, sorry 'bout that. I've been missing stuff for a while myself apparently. Fortunately, if it is a cyst, they'll just put me back on the full dose of the pill rather than being on the "pill lite" that I've been on and that should keep me from getting any further cysts. Although I'll probably have to have surgery to have this one removed. Again, if it's actually a cyst. Time will tell, just as soon as I figure out how to afford this medical BS.

I dont know if its worth anything at this stage in the game, but i know one hell of a fabulous Ob/Gyn up your way. She doesnt work with insurance (never has and never will), but her prices have always seemed more reasonable to me than this. I think going in for an exam and a pap and a full STD (including HIV) test runs me $110. I had to get an intervaginal AND (the super fun) interrectal ultrasound earlier this year...not that fun, but not that horrible either.

dear god tell me who, because I really need to be able to afford this mess. Right now I'm waiting for a call back from St. Vincent Depaull which works through one of the churches in the area. They may be able to help with fundage, but any advice is good at this point.

yeah, that's usually a pain. Somewhere in here, I have to get Rick to an allergist too. I'm terrified to think what that's gonna cost. At least we're both working now... although my hours are slim.
