That was lovely! I'm intrigued by the way you describe heaven and the way angels affect their own appearances - it's not often done well but I think you nailed one way of doing it.
Thank you, that's a huge compliment. There are such nuances available to the fandom since the angels appeared, I'm enjoying playing in my little corner.
I was so sad for Castiel, and Jimmy, the whole time I was writing this. Luckily for me there's just the ouch of writing up until the green room, and then I'm off to play with Dean and Castiel with a bit more freedom!
This was dedicated to me?! *smiles happily* I'm so glad I could inspire you to keep this going, because your words and descriptions and the way you shape the SPN universe is TRULY unique. I feel humbled everytime I read a new chapter of this verse, heh.
Too soon, far too soon, there was a step on the gantry. Castiel reflexively drew his knees up to his chest, and barely flinched at the humanity of the gesture.
“Come out, come out, wherever you are.”
The syrupy sing song was a chilling parody of a child’s game.
The phrase, "syurpy sing song" is what's memorable here to me. It set the mood for the following scene and seems to give deeper insight into Zachariah's character without having to say too much.
Please keep going because it's come so far! Also, I apprceciate your casual inclusion of Gaiman in this verse. ;)
Oh yeah - Gabriel? Perfect. I want to draw him with the hair styled over his eye.
Of course to you :) You gave me my verse back, I can't describe how much I owe you for that! I was so dispirited, and your comments are consistently deep, interested, and kind. I'm full of ideas for where this will go, and after the plaster-ripping-off of the end of the canon, I'm looking forward to seeing where the boys can take us.
Gaiman has been such an inspiration in my life in general that I'm not sure I could do anything but include him. I just decided to do it openly. Best to acknowledge one's sources, right? ;)
Gabriel - are you kinda seeing Tilda Swinton in Constantine? That level of androgyny the hair, the Dean-green eyes, I couldn't resist. Also, the image of her holding Misha Collins' chin just made me smile :)
What I adored about Gabriel - your Gabriel - is how soft spoken and gentle he is, yet you really understand that there's such terrifying power behind the softness of his words.
I've been doodling a Merlin pic (the thought of Merlin & Arthur in Japanese gym clothes is too much) but now I'm inspired to take a stab at Gabriel. A picture of an androgynous Gabriel holding Cas's chin in her/his hand, would be delightful.
The cannon ending is going to be painful, I can feel it. But I think it will be well worth it to see the rest of this verse executed in your lovely prose.
I would *love* to see that :D Gabriel is amazing, the effortless power and grace, I can't help writing archangels (and yes, you'll be meeting others) because they're just so unlike people. They're more like little gods.
Thank you again honey :) Canon will hurt for a little while, but there's the sex-on-a-stick green room scene, and then the entrance of my dearly beloved Lucifer, so I'm itching to get there!

Yeah, I know. It really hurt, but canon does that. Sexy Gabriel though :)
