Icon Fic Meme

Ok, so this is another meme, but this time it came from the lovely novembersmith :)

Basically, she picked her six favourites from my icons, and I have written fic to accompany each of the icons.  Now, they were meant to be short fics, but some of them, well, grew.  There are two Merlin (one of which is also kind of Supernatural, but not crossover, you'll see),

I have to say, I loved the Granby/Laurence one. It was adorable... Laurence feeling the need to appologize to Temeraire, Granby's whole attitude, Laurence's quiet statement about missing the sea... but not in the way you'd think. D'aww... Wonderful job!

I was on MerlinXarthur and I found this, curious I read on and I found it very weird that there was Temeraire one when I;m working my way through throne of jade. I liked the merlin one and the first temeraire one, I didnt read the second cus it seemed slightly spoilery. Is there a large temeraire fandom?

I'm glad you liked them :) Yes, the second Temeraire fic is set during Black Powder War, so it's ahead of where you are right now, definitely spoilery for you. I think Temeraire fandom is pretty small, but it's pretty passionate too from what I've seen. There are comms called temeraire_fic and temeraire_fans, as well as a chat comm called the_covert, and of course Naomi Novik's livejournal :)

A Merlin - Temeraire crossover fic...believe me, I thought of it!

I just finished Victory of Eagles and couple of days ago and Lawrence/Granby slash has been rolling around in my head ever since I started the series. Some of the most abiding loves started out as conflict!!!

You say bromance, I say epic epic love :) What's not to love about Laurence, and for that matter, Granby? You just know from the minute Granby walks onto the page that he's special, and there are so many 'missing scenes' where the narrative moves away leaving them talking, alone...

I ship them. So hard. I love Tharkay, really I do, but unless it's all three of them, I just don't want him to come between Laurence and Granby.
