I think it's the best advice you could have given someone in that situation. ^.^
It's better to tell the girl he doesn't like as much how he feels because pretending to like her and keeping her hopes up would be really cruel.

That was good advice to him. Relationship advice is a bit hard to give. It is in my eyes at least. The immature one should not be the choice though. You were right on that! But what if he asked her to change?
