[ Within moments of hearing the man’s name being pronounced on the television in the hotel room, Itachi was already out of the door. The Akatsuki draped over his shoulders with numerous weaponry hidden up his sleeves. He left the room and leaped onto the rooftop before dashing quickly towards Elysium ( ... )

[The senator had returned. He had finally returned. All of the waiting which he had done had not been in vain. Upon hearing where his surrogate father would be, Nataku left the manor to go and meet him. Hopping from building to building until finally reaching his destination. There was quite a bit that he would have liked to said to Johan after the speech concluded. It reminded him that he actually planned on breaking the man's legs to keep him from leaving the manor for such a long time, again ( ... )

[ Blood splattering along his dark attire and droplets of crimson splashing against his obscured visage, Itachi was ready to leave. The military along with the omega would be a hazardous consequence if he was to stay any longer within the public, with the full evidence that he had murder and slaughtered -- fully dismembering and decapitating -- the senator who was seemingly forgiven for his past crimes. But to be thoughtful of what had been was useless now, and his top priority was to retreat -- to vanish ( ... )

[Shikamaru doesn't normally disobey his sensei. However, recent circumstances have made it unacceptable to sit and wait at the kids table, and he doesn't have any more money to spend on an auction even though he owes Itachi for saving him once already. That debt will just have to be repaid in action. The task of getting Nill home safely is given to Yosuke while Shikamaru takes the next train in. They'll meet later. Whatever the problem is, Shikamaru will stall, save whoever he has to, deal with whatever problem Itachi wasn't telling him about. The fact that the TV's involved again? It makes him worry.

He arrives via rooftop, and before he sees Itachi he sees the riot below...]

Holy shit... What the hell is this..?

[He backs up and takes cover before anyone below spots him and decides he makes a good target. Everyone is a bloody, screaming mess. It makes it hard to locate Itachi... until the elder ninja leaps up onto a neighboring rooftop. Shikamaru rises to dart over to him.]

All this chaos.

[Normally, this sort of scene would be distasteful to the reaper. He would have merely accepted that this was just how humans were before doing what job that he needed to have done. Possibly view the Cinematic Record of the now dead senator. But his name had not been listed in his book and so there probably was no need to revive him. William could find that he could not think in such a rational manner. He could not simply write off the entire event as just the usual panic and annoying nonsense of humans. To help the NGPD to bring about some sort of order, since that is what OMEGA would want as well, of course ( ... )

[ televisions, really, were such mind-rotting things. gladias had never once had the desire to own one -- why would he? staring at a flicking screen that shrieked light in his face had never been an appealing prospect, and he preferred the lazy, quiet entertainment that books provided (when he wasn't out picking fights). so, of course, he'd missed the entirety of the broadcast that was now throwing the entire city into chaos.

the only reason he'd bothered to venture up out of abyss was because it was terribly noisy down there, and he hadn't been able find a good place to get anything to eat. terra, also, had been busy with riots and such, so as a last resort he'd skipped up to elysium, hoping to find something better.

he hadn't. and so, sighing, he decided to take a walk around the park instead -- at least for a breath of fresh air away from the riots and fights in the streets. muttering to himself as he strolled down the path, ] My, what a noisy evening. [It was only a brief cut -- still his Cinematic Record was released as it would be for anyone who was pierced with a scythe. The film floated around him with nowhere to go and no one to view it save those that actually took time out of their panic to do so. Nothing particularly special -- just the last few months of his life. Dealing with the various OMEGA agents, the weather, and overtime. Nothing particularly worth noting save the anger that he apparently had over Soifon and Siarnaq's duo disappearances ( ... )

[ raising an eyebrow and looking at the film strips that fluttered around the air, gladias couldn't help making a small, rueful noise. especially when he watched the scythe blades starting to cut a little deeper into skin, drawing bright rivulets of blood. what a strange sight. suicide was always such a curious phenomenon to him -- why bother taking one's own life? and so, he was honestly just curious as he watched william slowly cut his face off.

but it wasn't until william spoke up that his interest was piqued a little further. because -- hopeless. everything? rolling the mouthpiece of his pipe around his lips, chewing at the tip for a moment, he canted his head sideways in thought, letting out a thoughtful hum. brows furrowed, hand to chin. a moment passed, and a second, before he suddenly reached out. hand grasping about the handle of the scythe and tugging it away enough that william would have a hard time finishing the job. ]

I'd rather disagree.

[Not again, she refused to die again, she refused to be the helpless child unable to move, blood leaking from her torso as the killers left her parents as corpses, or hanging from the chains in Belial's circus. The Senator's words spoke against her better judgement, her conscience, that ever weakening barrier of right and wrong as she lived longer in her vampiric existence. She would not die again like she had in the test run, this Battle Royale she would win, she was more than strong enough, stronger than any of these mortals and there was just so much blood flowing on the streets... how could she lose ( ... )

[She didn't need the strange broken sentences to know something was wrong with human in front of her, something was unnatural. The vampire tilted her head curiously, red eyes narrowing as it approached her. The shadows coiled about her body... but this was just another enemy, something to be taken out or eaten.
