[Not again, she refused to die again, she refused to be the helpless child unable to move, blood leaking from her torso as the killers left her parents as corpses, or hanging from the chains in Belial's circus. The Senator's words spoke against her better judgement, her conscience, that ever weakening barrier of right and wrong as she lived longer in her vampiric existence. She would not die again like she had in the test run, this Battle Royale she would win, she was more than strong enough, stronger than any of these mortals and there was just so much blood flowing on the streets... how could she lose?
