I'd work out with those two anytime.

I don't (and cannot) fully understand the racist shit you've had to put up with, (being born and raised in Northern California.)

But I do understand homophobia and I've been the victim of anti-gay hate. It must have been so much harder for you growing up where you did. It took me a long time to get comfortable with my sexuality, and longer to develop true Pride.

I've always admired you for all the crap you had to overcome, and for your strength and clear sense of self-worth. Some gay kids are no so fortunate, as we've seen recently.

the Clippinger twins

Are they really twins? Because they don't look much alike, and they certainly don't strike me as behaving like brothers towards one another...

The faces definitely look the same to me, I think it's the build, hair style and posture that makes them stand apart.

Of course, I didn't think they were twins until you pointed it out. So could still be wrong on this.

I'm very frustrated with the gay best boy friend stereotype since people think it's true, that being gay means certain things and looks a certain way. It reminds me of a L Word episode where one of the characters is a talk show host who is supposed to talk about the "fun" side of gay. The mintue Alice mentioned teen bullying and suicide they shut her out. Also with the idea that being fucked makes a person submissive or "womanly." I read a great quote on sexisnottheenmy that getting fucked could also be viewed as being serviced or pleasured, like royalty. Sorry for the ramble--I've just been thinking about this a lot. People in the straight world seem to forget this is some people's reality, and a harsh, cruel reality at that, with lots of self-loathing and doubt. It feels like it's hip to be an ally or queer, but it may not mean anything beyond that for many people.

If you haven't already, you should watch the video I posted which points out why being fucked is a new level of manliness. LOL!!!!
