Who: Lelouch and Kakyou Where: Lelouch's apartment. When: The morning after the Medicine Seller visits. Summary: Profoundly awkward breakfast. Rating: PG-13 or so? Other: GO TEAM PRETTY
Lelouch was in the kitchen, in the middle of an atrocious headache. Too many things didn't make sense, princes and princesses, Empires. Was that just imagery, or was there something else to it? Still, his memories of Zero were very solid, and that was why he didn't look in Kakyou's eyes as he passed by him to arrange the table neatly.
Something was off about Lelouch, Kakyou noted. He couldn't place exactly what, but the man seemed... withdrawn.
Then again, there had been the dreams, after the man had left him last night. Lelouch putting on a black mask and becoming something different, something almost frightening, with his eye glowing like a flame. Before Kakyou would have dismissed that as nothing but a dream, but given what he had learned, that had changed.
"Is... everything alright?" he asked, tilting his head as he wheeled to the table.
"I'm fine." Lelouch said, still avoiding eye-contact. He laughed weakly. "I just have a headache."
He had bought some contact lenses first thing in the morning. He knew they wouldn't be enough and soon he would have to cover his eyes with something. For the time being, his hands and hair would have to do. And he would have to watch his mouth more carefully than ever.
"I..." Kakyou hesitated for a moment more, then shook his head. It had to come out sooner or later, after all.
"Last night I discovered that I've been seeing the future in my dreams, Lelouch. I... I know it sounds strange, but it's true." He paused for a moment to give Lelouch a chance to respond before he went any further and talked about his dreams.

"Good morning, Kakyou." he said under his breath.
