It was some sort of odd curse truly, that he could trace back to the moment that vessel for the 14th had appeared. Jumbling up careful plans and making their use of the silly little Order almost worthless in his ability to get underfoot. Allen Walker, their missing 14th who denied them even as they made such pains for his going away party

Rhode stopped, staring at the man who looked like he wanted to hug her. Was this him then? She rocked on her heels, considering him from head to toe. She wasn't impressed--so maybe he resembled Tyki a little, if you turned your head and squinted and imagined very hard. She wasn't sure what to make of him though--she'd thought she'd despise him on sight, like she did most people, but... She didn't. There was no reason for it.

She decided it was just because he was a little bit intriguing. Something different. If she had half a longing urge at the sight of him she ignored it, and crossed her arms, looking up at him with decided coldness. She would be sure he knew she was not the least bit impressed with him, or his impostor ways!

It actually hurt when he saw she wasn't going to hug him and thus let his arms fall back to his side. The smile didn't waver of course, because even to family showing weakness could be a bad thing.

"Of course dear Rhode, my you're still adorable. A pity this wasn't a planned event or I'd have made certain to have gotten you a present before my work was interrupted."

Even though he knew she had been there in that doll form, the lack of recognition made him wonder just what was being played in this place and it's far more sophisticated technology. The sudden sharpness to his grin when mentioning presents was ignored as well in favor of this and his parent molded denial of Rhode treating him like a stranger. She would have probably liked to play with that Chief Lee or even that Exorcist Wisely found fascinating.

"What work were you doing?" She was curious about his delusions, she had to admit. Taking out a lollipop she pointed back the way she'd come, towards the rail station. "You're going to come back to the mansion with me, right?"

There was an urge to reach out and take his hand and tug him with her--she wasn't sure why she didn't. Most strangers she would, wouldn't she? If she felt like it. This one was different and a bit unsettling and she did not like that. So instead she stuck the lollipop in her mouth and took a small sidestep towards the station, watching the man to see if he would indeed follow her.

"What presents~? Are you from the Omega labs, Cyril?"
