Today had turned out to be a surprisingly good day, Nill thought, grinning in return at the girl beside her. So what if there was a slight age difference, and Rhode seemed just a little bit younger than her? Yosuke and Shika were both older than she was, and that had never been an issue, so something as small as that didn't bother her in the least.

The big thing here was the fact that finally, after having gone to the school for near enough to a year now--not including summer vacation, of course--Nill finally had a friend at school! Of course, Shika and Yosuke were her friends, but this was different. She didn't entirely know on what level, but it definitely was.

She was glad for the opportunity of meeting Rhode again, too. The girl couldn't tell her "family" about it, of course, because then they'd find out about her not having had other friends, but Nill had still decided that this was a very good day. She nodded her head in slightly enthusiastic agreement to Rhode's suggestion, her smile widening just a little as she quickly

It was really definitely nice to have a friend. Rhode was outspoken and confident, but she usually played only with adults, and most of the influences in her life were decidedly all male. Not that she minded, but it was really nice to have a female friend that was closer to her age for once.

She definitely wasn't going to let Nill go. They would be best friends, forever~ The note Nill showed her made her grin.

"Me too! You'll really like big brother, too. He's so kind and strong and he carries me on his shoulders when I ask and he's just the nicest. I bet he'd buy us ice cream today, if we asked. We should!" Nodding at that, as if the whole matter were decided, Rhode clasped her hands together. "We'll get ice cream and big brother can meet you and we can take you back to your home and then later some time you can visit ours. It will really be the best first day at school ever, and from here on we'll definitely be friends no matter what."

If Nill could have read minds, she definitely would've had to agree with Rhode's first train of thought. As much as she loved her life and had enjoyed the days she'd been given since leaving the labs, the only people she was every around were... well, boys, and though she loved them all quite dearly, Nill had always suspected it might be a little bit different to have a friend who was a girl instead of another boy

Guess a good reason of why they couldn’t be friends was ‘cause just about a few minutes later was the monk all decked up in his typical leather kimono was taking his stride along the streets. Parents with their child’s hands in their own couldn’t help but to take a second glance as Genkaku made his way to his lil’ sister. Didn’t mean that he didn’t take notice of Nill, but it was difficult to recognize the faux-angel with her legs still attached and her skull flawless of any crossbow arrows
