However, since that family consisted of two teenage boys and one little girl they loved to spoil, it meant that he didn't exactly come home every night to a home-cooked meal. It used to be that they ordered Chinese takeout every night. Now, because it was cheaper (and because of Naruto), ramen had become their main source of nutrition.
On his way home from another long day at the police station, he stopped by the tiny ramen stand. "Yo, Naruto!" he called out in greeting, one hand waving lazily in the air. "Can I get the usual? Try to make it fast, 'cause otherwise Yosuke will whine at me and be a pain in the ass about how late I am."
