Shit indeed, old man. There she was, the first time in recent memory when she was actually minding her own business without ruining it for someone else, and what happens? Some jerk jumps off a building and lands right on top of her pretty little head. The chaos and carnage just seemed to pass by without her even noticing. The flailing fools, the rumbling of the ground and crumbling of the structures were all locked out of her mind as she focused all of her attention on Dante. With each passing phrase that came out of him, she surprisingly seemed to calm down. She wasn't gesturing towards him, her breaths weren't as intense and her facial expression had gone from fury, to indifference and then all the way to a hinted smile as his counter-monologue progressed.
The U-turn had its reasons, of course. Screaming and threatening was just going to have her end up in more trouble, there was no way around that fact. Besides, she hardly had the time for it, not with the destruction crossing the borders into Terra itself

Assumed outcome is that Larxene eventually actually got away, but sustained serious injuries during the duel and ended up being trapped by the forces of nature. Dante, being Dante, escaped with relatively light injuries but had his style streak broken a bunch of times.
