Light had put off questioning Shikamaru about Yaha's phone records as long as possible, but it was quickly becoming apparent that this was the best lead in the case, and the longer he prolonged the inevitable, the longer it would be before the case was solved, closed, resolved once and for all. Light didn't relish the thought of questioning Shikamaru, for a number of reasons - his age, the fact that he was Vargret's son, the fact that Vargret was still missing and the boy was obviously upset about it (or at least faking it in a convincing fashion, he mentally corrected himself).
Well, being a police officer often meant making hard decisions; Light knew this. He'd been waiting outside the breakroom for Shika to emerge for the past 15 minutes. Light shifted the file in his hand and glanced at the watch on his wrist once again. Any moment now. There was nothing to do but wait.
