Alarm goes off. It’s early. Reach to turn off alarm and see I have a text. From my sister. Turn off my alarm. Stare at the text. Try to comprehend. It’s from my sister. What is it trying to tell me? Staring not helping. Confused. Give up trying to understand. Close my phone. Give up trying to be awake. Go back to sleep.

Wake up.
