The most amazing Halloween costume EVER. It would be, too.

And everyone, prepare to feel old--someone dressed their kid up as Jareth from Labyrinth.

So, neogabi arrived safe and whole at her end destination--our house. (For anyone who didn't know, which is likely everyone, neogabi was moving in with us.) To celebrate her arrival--and getting the new place, ( Read more... )

"we didn't die toasting Loki! WOOT!"

/facepalm.

At least not yet. What fun would he get from killing you out right?

That aside I'm delighted you two are doing better and out of the hell you have managed to get caught into again and again. Now I insist you both begin the healing process you both desperately deserve so when I make my way out there again we whoop it up some.

Oh, absolutely! Whenever you meander out our way, we will work on being weller.

That, and I've been informed by one of my loves that--unless it results from another deific pact--I am not to imbibe neurotoxic substances again. :)

Congratulations on Catdancer obtaining disability! Did she get it on application or on appeal? If on appeal, how long did the appeal take? I had to wait 20 months for a 15-minute appeal hearing, though I did get some substantial "back pay" after being found disabled. Sigh. The safety net has very large holes in it.

It was on appeal, through a law office, and total process start to finish took about two years.

I am dealing with my second appeal and with a law office, and they're anticipating my hearing to be sometime in December, 2010, though they're trying to move that up. For me, if the pattern holds for December, I'll have been three years in the process.

And then, if you're under 50, they keep making you reaffirm your disability and provide documentation again, I'm told. I'm rather glad I turn 50 tomorrow so they dial down the scrutiny.

Not so much. In fact, I'm not sure if *any* of the medicinal rice whiskys you could try are vegan. What's your position on insects?
