Look, I'm a fan of bad movies, I admit this. I've actually watched--and giggled my head off watching--Texas Chainsaw Massacre IV. I own Killer Klowns from Outer Space and Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things. I have a vested interest in terrible films and remain an inveterate MST3K fan.

But remaking Plan 9 from Outer Space? As a serious

Oh no, I hear Michigan J. Frog singing "Hello My Baby" every time I see the words, but especially with pictures like that.

And I've watched the original Journey to the Center of the Earth." I thought it was a comedy. I sure laughed through most of the overacting!

Well, the original was fairly ludicrous. But this time seems more of a send-up--and frankly, the original concept, though deeply goofy, actually read pretty well as a book.

I remain still terrified by Beverly Hills Chihuahua, though.
