no no no Plan 9!

Look, I'm a fan of bad movies, I admit this. I've actually watched--and giggled my head off watching--Texas Chainsaw Massacre IV. I own Killer Klowns from Outer Space and Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things. I have a vested interest in terrible films and remain an inveterate MST3K fan.

But remaking Plan 9 from Outer Space? As a serious film? No no no no no.

And uh...whose bright idea was this? Seems like a cross between Wrong Turn and the Blair Witch Project--with less actual intensity, and more splatter.

Why are these so insanely expensive? All I want is a good office chair, man.

A rugged LCD monitor? What, to take camping? They gotta be kidding.

What a tagline.

Trailers. City of Ember looks interesting; I'm actually going to say the next Mummy sequel does too.

I like Mike Myers. I don't plan on seeing this.

And why...did Lucas...approve this?? Complete with the Bratz Jedi! AAAAAH!

Igor just looks like tons of fun. And Bloodline is going to drive fundamentalists out of their goddamn minds. Hee!

On the other hand, new Dario Argento coming up! Which could be good or bad, frankly, but will promise to be at least creepy and disturbing, if nothing else.

Welcome to the wide world of LaRPing! The way this is pitched, honestly, it sounds so much like "catch a glimpse into the surreal universe of humans TOTALLY UNLIKE US"...and to me? Okay, some of these people are likely to be way out there, but for the most part, these guys are average.

Guy who goes off into the woods for three days to play a Dream Moth? No big deal. Paris Hilton? SCARES THE HELL OUT OF ME.

Journey to the Center of the Earth...as a...comedy. Okaaay...

Disney must pay for this. (Do not click unless you have a STRONG resistance to singing dogs.)

This sounds...deeply stupid.

This looks good, but when did Nicolas Cage lose ninety pounds and go all Jeff Goldblum?

*jaw drops*

Uh...it has Robert Englund, thus, I will give it a try, but...dudes. Dudes. WTF?

And WHEE!!! *dancedancedance* They got their funding, Dorkness Rising will be RELEASED! Hallelujah!

Most of the above (barring the last) are from pauldrake. Also from Paul: skeleton sex? (Subtle, but probably NSFW.)

DOMO-KUN! *koff* Pardon.

I'm seeing a lot of little bits of steampunk in Ozzy's latest vid. Interesting. Also interesting to me--Dreamer, 'cos Ozzy, eco-friendly? Whoa. Fun, but whoa.

Oh, it all makes sense now:

*Ahem*.

Maybe *more* disturbing:

And is it just me who hears that sung?

Especially with small furry animals:

And occasional birds.

Oh, yay, big felt monsters:
