Is it me or is it warmer in here?

We have four new windows and I am a little more excited about them than I should be. Right now, two of the new ones in the living room are open, but supposedly when they are closed, they are going to cut back on the road noise we hear. We live on a kind of busy road, so I am interested in seeing how this works. Our window dude is supposed to ( Read more... )

HA! I laughed out loud at the part where you only clean the windows if someone eggs them! We have the kind that open inward, but only the bottom part, so those are clean and the top parts, not so much. I keep the blinds lowered, and that takes care of the problem nicely!

I am so intrigued by your neighbor with "LOVE" cut into his lawn. Maybe you should make him some cookies so you have a reason to chat with him, and then report everything he said, did and wore back to me!

This summer has been way too brutal, and way too long, and by my calculations we have another 4 - 6 weeks to go. I remember the good old days when I considered September to be the beginning of Fall. Now, we're lucky if it's cool outside by Halloween.

We keep the shades on our windows at half-mast, too :)

I'm too scared to approach the lawn-mowing dude. I'm afraid he knows that I turned him in to the health agent and that he holds it against me. Paranoid much? Why, yes, I am.

It's been kind of fall-like at least with temperatures here lately, which is completely ass-backwards for August. But all the rain is starting to cause problems, like mold and stuff, I wish it would just stop.

I know all the parents I work with are counting the days until school starts, too! By the end of summer they're just worn out. It's funny how the kids are dreading the summer's end, but the parents can't wait! ROFL

The poor teachers are probably dreading it, too :) Which is why I hesitate to become one, even though more than one person has told me to go for it.

Really? We can always use more good teachers, that's for certain! What age/subject would you teach?

I have no idea. Kindergarten, maybe? Or possibly English to older kids (my BA is in journalism). But I am very, very hesitant because teachers have to do so much these days. And sometimes, I don't like kids other than my own very much :) Not a good quality, I know.
