A/N: AGAIN I should be finnishing my chaptered fic... but Inspiration hit me again and I wrote this weird fic. Sorry for any mistakes I blame the public school system for not teaching proper grammar and spelling when I was there.

Leeteuk woke up and saw a white ceiling. He didn’t recognize the ceiling. He tried to sit up but failed. That’s when he noticed the cords and tubes coming out of his body; he heard a beeping noise looked around the room and saw a heart monitor. The beeping was his heart. The beeping began to speed up and someone, he didn’t know who, ran into the room and turned on the lights. He wanted to say something to that person but his throat hurt.

“He’s awake! Go tell the doctor!” He heard someone say and go to him, “How are you feeling Mr. Park?”

He looked at the lady and said with a very scratchy voice, “Where am I?”

“You were in a very bad car accident about two months ago. You’ve been in the hospital in a coma ever since.” The nurse smiled, “we’ve all been so worried about you! I’ll go call your parents now.”

Leeteuk scoffed, like his parents even cared. Car accident? He didn’t remember a car accident… He remembered driving in a car with… “Wait. Where’s Kibum? He was driving in the car.”

The nurse looked sad, “We did all we could, but the damage was too great. He-”

“Don’t say It! Tell me he’s alright! I don’t give a damn about anything else! Tell me he’s okay.”

The nurse looked pained, “I’m sorry Mr. Park. He didn’t make it…” She then walked out of the room to call his family.

Leeteuk could care less of his parents. They hated him any way. They probably wished he had died with his lover. He looked at the bedside table and saw flowers. He hated flowers. They ended up on the other side of the room.

~~

It was a few days after he woke up. He was released from the hospital on the condition he stayed with his parents and he could not do any strenuous work. He had to agree. His mother was so afraid for her son she wouldn’t let him out of her site.

She even went to his and Kibum’s shared apartment. He didn’t want to go but he needed cloths. His mother looked like she smelled a dead animal while they were in the apartment and it took all of Leeteuk’s restraint to keep from yelling at her to go away or to keep himself from crying.

He even missed Kibum’s funeral.

His parents kept telling him he was better off without Kibum. They never said his name but he knew they were talking about Kibum. He was his first lover. He would try to ignore them every time they saw a pretty girl on the street. He hated those times the most.

He was surprised his parents let him go to rehab by his self. He couldn’t even walk down the stairs in the morning without his mother almost having a heart attack and giving a twenty minute or even an hour talk on how he couldn’t do things like that without help. At first he hated it.

~~

It was almost a year after he woke up that his parents stopped fussing about him. He moved into a nice new apartment far away from his old one. He would visit Kibum often. He was usually found at the memorial place sitting on the floor talking to Kibum about the things going on in his life. His parents didn’t know he did this of course.

“I’ve gotten a new job Kibummie!” was the first thing he said on the first day of spring. It’s at a fashion designing company! I told you about how I was going to go to that meeting right? Well I went and they loved the designs so they hired me right then and there! I wish you were still here with me.”

He heard the door open and close but he didn’t care, “I’m going to start work on Monday so I won’t be able to visit more often… I hope you won’t mind…”

He sat there in silence looking at Kibum’s picture, “Hi mommy! I missed you! I hope you’re doing well! Today is the day you left remember? I do… But I’m not sad any more just like you told me. But it still does hurt.” He heard a young woman’s voice. He looked over and saw a young woman, about his age, with long black hair sitting right by him. She was talking to a picture near Kibum’s.

“Dad’s not getting any better. He doesn’t want to die before I’m marred. I told him no man can handle me like when you were younger!” she smiled, “but he said he could tame you so there has to be someone that can handle me!”

She sighed, “But I don’t want him to suffer any more. He’s been battling his sickness for a year now and I want him to be happy with you, not hurting with me.”He watched as the girl began to cry, “I’m sorry for crying mom. It just hurts… He’s always in pain and I can’t help him.”

Leeteuk poked the girl. When she looked at him surprised he handed her a tissue, “It looks like you need this.” He smiled weakly.

“Th-thank you,” the girl said and turned back to the picture, “Oh the reason why I came here today was to tell you I’m going to go back to school! I’m going to become a doctor, so I can help people like daddy. Maybe I can help people like you… but daddy said his cancer is different from what happened to you. I miss you…”

She sat there for a few minutes looking at her mom’s picture, “I think you could make a good doctor.” Leeteuk suddenly said.

“How would you know? You don’t even know me.” She said smirking.

“Well-well I just do.” He said, “I’m Leeteuk by the way.”

She smiled, “I’m Sooyoung and I’m here visiting my mother! You?”

This girl was strange Leeteuk thought, “I’m visiting a friend. He’s been gone for about a year now.”

She smiled at him and looked back at her mother, “Only a year… I don’t remember my mom much. She died when I was really little. I visit her whenever I can.” She had a faraway look in her eyes and sudden she smiled brighter, “the pain never really goes away. But it’ll become bearable. I guess it hurts more when it’s family… or a lover. Right?”

Leeteuk looked surprised, “I can tell you loved him. He must have been real special huh?”

“Yeah he was.” Leeteuk smiled sadly and looked at Kibum’s picture again.

~~

Leeteuk went to work the next day. He really didn’t know what to expect but he did his best. By the end of the day almost every one praised him on something he did he loved that praise. There were several people there that were already talking about him becoming someone’s assistant. He did not want that at all. He wanted to make it to the top. And he did. Several years after that he was designing his own cloths and accessory line. He still went to see Kibum every chance he got; he forgot about the young lady who wanted to become a doctor.

Until his dad contracted cancer.

That was the worst moments in his life, beside the day Kibum died. His mother called him after work and told him his dad was in the hospital. He had an advanced form of leukemia. Leeteuk rushed to the hospital and went straight to his parents.

He first scolded his father for not telling anyone he was sick then he held his mother close while they waited for the doctor to arrive. When she walked in that day with the girl came back to him. Her name tag read ‘Choi Sooyoung’. She smiled sweetly at him.

“Well Mr. Park you’ll have to begin daily chemo treatments. The cancer is further along than we first thought. I’m afraid that’s all I can do for you. You’ll have to remain in the hospital until your strength returns.”

She then turned to Leeteuk and his mother, “I’m sorry but only one of you will be able to stay with him over night.”

Leeteuk couldn’t believe his eyes. He looked at his mom, “Mother, you should stay with father. I’ll come again after work tomorrow. There’s a fashion show in Paris, but they’ll have to go without me, family is more important right now.”

His mother smiled, “Thank you Leeteuk.”

He got up and left the hospital a few hours later. Everything felt so surreal. He went to Kibum. “Father’s dying… he contracted cancer and the fool didn’t even tell anyone until It was to late…”

He heard the door open and he saw the same Sooyoung, “I’m sorry,” was all she said.

“Don’t be. It’s not your fault he didn’t tell us.” Leeteuk looked at Kibum’s picture.

“Leukemia is a terrible cancer. It’s what my father had.” She said looking at what he assumed to be her mother. “Hi Mommy, Daddy! Today was hard work for me. Another patient died. I did all I could be I guess It was her time. She was asleep. I’m happy her pain is gone now. I have a new patient too. He is the father of the person you see by me. I hope I can do everything to help his dad. He has the same cancer you did daddy…” Her voice trailed off and Leeteuk looked at her.

She was crying again. He handed her a tissue and she smiled weakly.”I mean I can’t help anyone! I couldn’t help my dad with his cancer! And mom! I didn’t do anything to help her… It seems like they are all dying… I’m not helping them”

“How can you say that?” Leeteuk put his arm around her shoulders, “I mean how many people have you helped? Whether it is healing them or showing them there is someone that will be there for them till the end. I think you’re doing a damn good job of helping people.”

She looked off into space for about a minute. She suddenly smiled and hugged him, “Mom dad, this is Leeteuk! I hardly know him but he knows how to cheer me up!” she pointed at two pictures

Leeteuk smiled and bowed to them, “It’s nice to meet the parents who raised a wonderful caring young lady.” He pointed to Kibum’s picture, “Sooyoung, this is Kibum, my lover”

She smiled and bowed to the picture, “Hello Kibum! Leeteuk Is such a nice person I can see why you fell in love with him! I bet you’re just as great!”

The two of each other looked at each other and laughed.

~~

Leeteuk went to see his father in the hospital every day after work. Sooyoung greeted him cheerfully and his parents talked highly of her. He figured his parents wanted him to ask the doctor out but neither would make a move. He felt something for her but he wasn’t sure what it was.

They would go to see he parents and Kibum almost every night.

His schedule was lighter because he would not travel for any fashion show while his father was sick. His father seemed to be getting worse though. All Sooyoung could tell him was she was trying to do her best but it was all up to his father’s body. The only thing keeping his father alive was his will to live.

Leeteuk woke up early one morning knowing something wasn’t right. He had to get to the hospital fast.

When he got there he saw Sooyoung sitting outside of his father’s room with her head in her hands. He called to her and she hugged him, “I’m sorry… he lost the fight…” she gasped out.

Leeteuk held her close, “its ok. You did all you could.”

She laughed weakly, “like father like son… Right before… he-he said ‘thank you for caring for an old man’s life’”

Leeteuk let a few tears fall. She let go of him and he walked into the room to take care of his mother.

~~

The funeral wasn’t grand. It had many guests including Sooyoung and many people Leeteuk didn’t know but it’s what his father wanted. He moved back into his child hood home with his mother.

Leeteuk went back to work after a few weeks but kept in contact with Sooyoung. They still met by her parents and Kibum. Now they would talk to his dad too. Their relationship grew further but Leeteuk didn’t want to believe it. He didn’t want to give up his love for Kibum.

That was until he had a dream about Kibum telling him to move on or he would kick his ass. He then woke up to a sharp pain on his rear end and decided to call Sooyoung and ask her out.

They agreed to go to a movie and dinner on that weekend. The dinner was really enjoyable and they fought over who would pay the bill. They finally agreed Leeteuk would pay for dinner and Sooyoung would pay for the movie.

They surprisingly wanted to see the same movie and they both enjoyed that as well. Leeteuk would occasionally think about Kibum but every time he did he felt like someone would kick him.

He eventually stopped thinking about Kibum.

After the date Leeteuk walked Sooyoung to her door and they looked at each other awkwardly. “I guess this is good night? I’ll call you tomorrow or-” Sooyoung was cut off by a kiss from Leeteuk.

Her eyes widened and she quickly closed them and wrapped her arms around his shoulders pulling him closer to deepen the kiss. He stepped back from her and gave her a sheepish smile, “Good night.” He said before he walked to his car looking at her one last time before driving off.

~~

It wasn’t like he was speeding or anything. It must have been the other driver. One second he was looking at the dark road the next he saw a car driving right in front of him. He tried to swerve to miss it but the car hit the passenger side and his car rolled and hit a tree before catching fire.

He wondered what the smell was and who was screaming. He felt his face get hot and realized it was him. He heard someone shout but he couldn’t hear what they were saying through the flames and over his screaming. The world suddenly became dark and all the pain he felt suddenly left him.

~~

It was strange, going to your own funeral. He saw Sooyoung crying and his poor mother who had now lost the last of her family sitting by each other. His other friends were there. He began to cry wishing he could go to them and tell them he was okay but all he could do was cry.

It began to rain soon after he began crying and everything was getting darker. He felt a force pulling him but he just kept swatting at it. He didn’t want to leave. He would get to see Kibum but he didn’t want to leave the people still alive. He just kept crying and struggling to get down but it all was in vain as he saw the world darken completely and he was pulled into darkness again.

~~

When Leeteuk opened his eyes he looked around. He was in a white room. He heard a voice by the door, “He’s awake! Go tell the doctor!” that person walked quickly to his side “How are you feeling Mr. Park?”

He looked at the lady and said with a very scratchy voice, “Where am I?”

“You were in a very bad car accident about two months ago. You’ve been in the hospital in a coma ever since.” The nurse smiled, “we’ve all been so worried about you! I’ll go call your parents now.”

Leeteuk looked around the nurse looked familure. Car accident? He remembered two car accidents one with Kibum and one after his date… but then he remembered his funeral… “Wait. Where’s Kibum? Please tell me he’s alright. Tell me he’s okay!” He hoped It was all a dream.

“Mr. Kim is doing well. He was released from the ICU a few days after you two came in. I’ll go call your parents now and Kibum as well.”

The nurse left and he looked into space confused. What happened to Sooyoung? Was his dad is still alive? Was all of what happened a dream?

Several hours later Kibum and Leeteuk’s parents rushed into his room at the same time. His parents looked at Kibum like he was some wild animal and Leeteuk informed his parents to get over the fact that their son was gay and in love.

Kibum smiled and sat at his side the rest of the day. Leeteuk’s parents seemed like they wanted to protest but they were also relived he had finally woken up so they over looked It.

Leeteuk was released from the hospital but he felt very uneasy. He couldn’t get his other life-because he couldn’t call it a dream- out of his head. One day he decided to drag Kibum to the place he met Sooyoung.

“She-she was an actual person…” was all he could say.

“Who?” Kibum said looking at the picture of a young girl with long black hair.

“Her,” Leeteuk pointed at the picture, “I had a dream, or something like that, she was in it… I-I fell in love with her. You died in the car wreck…”

Kibum smiled and hugged him and looked at the date under the picture, “She died the day we were in the wreck. Her mother and father are beside her.”

Leeteuk smiled, “Yeah In my dream he mother died when she was young and her dad had cancer.”

Leeteuk thought it was strange she was in his other life, dream thing. He looked up her cause of death online because a young girl doesn’t die of natural causes. He found out she was driving home the same night he and Kibum had their wreck and was hit by a drunk driver. Her car flipped, hit a tree and caught fire. Just like his did in his dream. She was also going to get married that fall.

She was a cancer doctor specializing in leukemia.
