The tension, it will kill me.

Frustrating things: Reading a long fic in which after SEVENTY-EIGHT chapters there's only one sleepy kiss that everyone's ignoring and not even having the decency to have angst about. Then reading a soulbonding fic in which after 13 long chapters of drawn out UST, it politely fades to black as soon as Holmes and Watson get together ( Read more... )

Is it BBC!Sherlock? If it is, care to share a link to those fics? I must be feeling masochistic, but after reading your description, I'm curious (and I love UST, so :P)...

It's both verses. There's:

http://archiveofourown.org/works/245795/chapters/379033When The Impossible Refuses To Be Eliminated. Sherlock BBC, this one's the looooong one, and it's a shapeshifting fic. The oh so hovering 'Mummy' makes an appearance, it's pretty rad.

Observations on Sentinels and Guides in Victorian London . Based on The Sentinel, a show I'd never in my life heard about before, so it's not needed to understand it. This one's movieverse, but this Holmes sounds a bit more like ACD!Holmes. Love Watson in this.

AND then there's another Sentinel fic but in BBC Sherlock fandom. Chameleon. This one can be... dodgy though. It doesn't pull punches in how guides resembe slaves. So, warnings per the author: AU, Plotfic. Forced Bonding, Non-con, coersion, imprisonment, incesty vibes, mild violence.

Just in case it's not your cup of tea.

Oh, thanks for those links! I'll definitely read the first one... I haven't read any shapeshifting fic for this fandom and I'm curious. Truth is, I haven't seen the movie yet, mostly because I didn't like the first one much... I know, I know, I must be the only one! Still, I'm saving it so I may be reading it eventually.

Abrigate mucho!
