About John Simm and sex appeal. *looks shifty*

I've realized something really weird about State of Play. Sadly, because I'm shallow like that, it has nothing to do with the plot. And everything to do with John Simm. While I'll admit he's not the hottest man in the universe, I do find him fairly attractive and yet, for the life of me I can't think of him as good looking while he's wearing the ( Read more... )

My friend posted this about John Simm a while ago, and your post reminded me of it, so linkie.

Yeah, he's a complete ass. Cal, I mean. I HATED him and was terribly bored while he was on screen, he took all of James' time! Haha. In my head, anyway. :p

Brad Pitt will play Cal, Edward Norton is going to be the Senator. I think Jason Bateman is playing James' character, and Rachel McAdams is playing Kelly's character. Helen Mirren is replacing Bill Nighy.

I didn't hate him, I actually liked him as a character, but he IS somewhat boring. And so, so badly dressed. AND HIS JEWLERY, MY GOD. But definitely, James deserved more onscreen time, haha.

Aw, it won't be the same without Kelly's adorable accent. ;___; (Then again, everyone's wrong for the roles, I mean, Jason Bateman? As Dan? I love the man, but... Yeah. And the same goes for Edward Norton, although him I can see better as Stephen. And while the idea of Brad Pitt playing Cal makes me go LOL big time, DUDE, FIRST TIME SINCE FIGHT CLUB THAT HE AND NORTON PLAY AGAINST EACH OTHER, ISN'T IT?)

He's boring and terrible and the jewelery! YES! All terrible. Haha. James was delicious in it, with the hair and the WALK and the smiles and being cocky. akjsdkajshdgkajsdg.

They really seem to be miscast, except for Helen Mirren. If someone can somewhat mirror Bill Nighy is her. Haha.

¡Ve Supernatural! :P

Philip Pullman FTW!!

Todavia no vi State of Play - no me termina de bajar bien la serie. :( dunno what's wrong.

The basic plot is: This working class teenager is murdered on what seems to be a drug-related attack. The same day, the mistress of a politician commits suicide. But then a group of journalists start investigating, and it all becomes part of a rather larger conspiracy involving oil companies.

It's oh so thrilling, I do reccomend it a lot. :)
