I Finally watched (and re-watched) Dnevnoi Dozor (Day Watch). Woot, it was le awesome! I think I still like Nochnoy Dozor better, but ultimately, I think they're meant to be watched together - it certainly makes more sense that way, and the ending makes a nice, circular way of and end rather than feeling anticlimatic. Day Watch is out? WTF? Interesting, that. I liked Night Watch for the concept, but less for the execution. (IIRC, there were quite some plot holes. I *hate* plot holes.)

As far as I know, it's only out in Russia, but a rip was uploaded to that shiny download comm we're not supposed to talk about, you know, which was very lucky for me. But as I've said, the subtitles were AWFUL - they're understandable, but the grammar makes me weep. ;__;
Plotholes always happen when it's a book-inspired movie, I guess. When played together, though, both the movies are much more undestandable.
