Gatecon 2010

I am so pleased that we are going to Gatecon 10 this year. After completely forgetting about it, I finally purchased tickets about 4 hours after they went on sale. Sigh! Better late than never. I had planned on purchasing right away to get good seat. Oh well! The guest list so far is awesome. I've wanted to see Teryl Rothery and my husband ( Read more... )

Oooh, I wish I could go. Have fun you two. I met Teryl once at the SG con in New Jersey in 2006 and she was great. I'm looking forward to Chicago in a month!

Nope, haven't seen Christopher. I'll meet Amanda Tapping in Chicago and at least then I can say I've met 2 of the SG-1 team. I'm envious of your RDA meet last year. Oh and with this con I'll have all the signatures of the Atlantis cast on the picture you guys so graciously got signed by Torri for me in Burbank.

Cool! It's kind of funny, but the only signature I have from the original SG-1 is RDA. I've met Amanda, but couldn't get her signature. I don't think I had the Stargate book when I met Mr. Shanks in Burbank. I also missed out on a bunch of guest stars. I'm such a space case sometimes. . . . I had a t-shirt signed instead.

I have neither the vacation time nor the money to fly to Vancouver twice in four weeks, so I won't be at Gatecon, but a little bird told me you would be at MTM as well, so I'm happy to meet you there!

I have seen Teryl Rothery three times at German conventions so far, and she is a blast, very funny, and also has a wonderful singing voice.

I have no idea whether she can shine as much when there are five or seven people at stage at the same time. I am used to one-person-panels from my corner in the world. That way a real conversation between the audience and the actor can be started, back and forward.

I live much closer so it is more reasonable to go to both. But I don't have the means to go "over the pond" twice in two months OR for a month. So I completely understand. But I'm glad I'll get to see you once anyway. Maybe I can be behind you in the autograph line again. LOL

Oh yes, that would be fun! But I think it goes number for number, so I hope we have numbers close to each other, so that we are in the same row.

Remember, he was amazed and asked where I had gotten the little foosball table. This time I'd like to bring a little hockey table to show him. Here is a picture of it, if you wanna have a look:
