!!! Aqua does not seem very magey by the way I'm playing her? I mean sure it's spamming -ara and -aga cards but she can hit pretty well too. her dodges aren't anything to laugh at and it... doesn't seem to be bogged down as most mage-centric ones are? I don't have a problem with her as much as I thought I would. It's not like playing Dissidia!Terra by a long shot lmao :B
We're like, lmf almost at the end of our respective storylines by now :((( but I need to go back and pick up stuff I booked through earlier anyway o/;;
It's just like-- even spamming cards and not getting in and physically attacking has always bugged me. The previous KH games, I rarely if ever used any magic besides Cure/Curaga. But if she can actually physically attack, then maybe I'll lose the stigma. She has a cute design and I like her voice actress and all but. Mage. 8(
LMFAO yeah I'm kind of stuck in a battle in Snow White's kingdom right now. It's like "CLEAR THIS AREA" and then 4 Unversed, then four more of the next stage up, then four of the little fire Unversed, and then suddenly 10 OF EVERYTHING HOLY SHIT.

i'm realizing more and more that i won't ever shell out the money for a PSP and will have to play this game through posts of people like you lmao sobbing forever. but it's good to see that you don't HATE it? and tbh all your nitpicks are the same as mine (FUCKING MAGES) and yeah idek. i'm also really glad you love Terra ///////
lmao I bought a PSP with my tax returns earlier this year and only just found out today that there's a special PSP+game bundle for $200 right now fjaskldfj /FLIPS TABLES
I rarely ever hate a game? I might dislike a lot of things about it, but I never outright hate a game. If I have any negative feelings about this game at all, it'll be entirely for the story. I'm not far into the story itself at all; it's mostly been just "okay go here, fight some Unversed, princess is safe, go to the next castle".
I will if I can find any good quality videos to cap ;_;
OUCH yeah i'm eying that pretty much every other hour but ARGH idk it's still $200 that i could spend elsewhere :\
ok that's good to know. but still, it seems like you're not constantly raging at it or something. & i just watched Xplay's review for it and either they've gone soft over the years in their JRPG hatred or it's actually a decent game. IDK THAT RATHER FREAKS ME OUT
haha ;A; Though it's probably good I bought my PSP early, I don't think I could fork out $200 right now.
LMAO I'm raging consistently less at this game than I have any other game I've played, so that says something. But it actually is a decent game so far. :|a
Echoing the "Aqua does not have to play like a mage" sentiment. A lot of her Command Styles revolve around doing elemental damage, so if you just load elemental slash attacks in your deck, you'll be able to take full advantage of them and do massive damage.
Though I will admit it's hilarious to rotate between Magnet, Aero, and Zero Gravity. Because you're literally untouchable.
Also lol D-Links. I think after I finish the game I might grind with those (because I think they unlock some finishing moves and I can be a horrendous completionist at these games) but aside from using Cinderella's for a heal before I actually picked up Cure, I... really can't find any reason to use them over my own deck. :T
I'll figure it out when I get to her, I guess. I think part of my stigma is everyone flocking to her storymode first? The more someone goes on about a canon/character, the less interested I am orz.
BUT I'LL HAVE TO TRY THAT, it sounds hilarious.
Yea, they do unlock certain finishing moves. I didn't even know Cinderella's had a cure, otherwise I would've been abusing that. I've got my own cure now though so oh well :T
Hello again! I would immediately shoot into a detailed comment but UH WOW I can't even begin simply because I know this game too well. I definitely recommend maxing out all of your D-links; it's relatively easy and you can even use them on some boss fights, although the game's a jerk about which ones.
Terra's my very favorite, although I liked all three of them. Aqua's not too annoying for a mage, and she's the most balanced out of the three. Her dodges react the most quickly as well as her defense being relatively high, considering what she is. Ven's actually the weakest since he's a fragile speedster; I was hating his mode because it was so much harder to get through than Terra's (on Standard, to boot!).
Oh, I must do an annoying edit, because I'm being quite rude. Hi, I'm Ane. I felt like a creeper knowing your name even though it's clearly stated in the nice field right there/Elle mentioned it in her post, so now I can at least even it out.
LMAO yeah uh please don't because I'm still on my first playthrough fjaklsjdf I definitely planned on maxing those out at some point, probably on my second run. I definitely abused it during Terra's fight with the spindle boss.
I like all three of them, but I have such a soft spot for closet derps. ;A; But hhhh I didn't know that about Ven, no one's mentioned anything about his storymode when I talk to them. Thanks for the head's up.
LMAO IT'S OKAY, nice to talk to you Ane o\ SORRY THIS TOOK SO LONG FOR ME TO RESPOND I was trolling someone in another journal jflasdjf /priorities
Trolling can be an art form but ahem, it's no big deal! Just watching TV and handling business.
Yeah, don't even worry, I figured you'd be on your first playthrough. I was one of those uberweirdos that got the JPN copy because I have enough of the language under my belt to manage the story mode, so I've got months of experience. Terra's actually even more of a derp in this language than he was in the original; they made all of them a lot more casual.
Ven's story-mode is fine (as someone mentioned, there's a recommended playing order, and he's the middle), but I was so annoyed with how little HP and defense he had that I figured other people needed to be warned! I love the speedsters, but he's my least favorite kind. Once you get a hang of melding items you'll definitely need to buff him up. You can practice with Terra, but he doesn't need anything special, even in Proud Mode. I've just been buffing him up for the heck of it.
I don't think it's really weird, tbh. We've all been waiting four years for this game and we've all been practically salivating at any information we get, so ain't nothing wrong with that.
But jfalksjf oh jeez okay, yeah. I'll definitely work on that when I get to him, thanks. I'll practice with Terra just to get the hang of it. I'm definitely a lot better with the brute force fighters with a lot of HP because in a big fight, I get. so forgetful to even cure/potion myself until I get way low so a low HP speedster will probably be the death of me for this game.
